This beautiful riverside house with heated pool is set in a picturesque village with bars and restaurants within a short walking distance of less than 2 minutes. Just next door is a childrens play and picnic area, with a canoe/kayak centre next to that. The owners are on site to welcome you and advise on local amenities and activities
The property is in central, southern Brittany approx. 2 hours from the northern coast and ferry ports and approx. 45 mins from the wonderful beaches and quaint towns and villages of the southern coast. Within ten mins drive there is a challenging nine hole golf course, an equestrian centre and a go cart centre. Further afield (within one hour) there are 18 hole, world class, golf courses, museums, aquatic centres and a fantastic ariel forest adventure. Water sports abound in Brittany from fishing at the end of the garden, the Blavet is one of the premier fishing rivers in France, to wind surfing and surfing on both coasts,
The main house has a spacious, period lounge, leading out onto a large private terrace and enclosed front garden. A large dining room seating up to 12 people, a well fitted kitchen with table and a downstairs toilet. There are three large bedrooms, one en suite and one leading out to the balcony and a smaller bunk room also leading onto the balcony. There is also a large family bathroom.
All the properties have private terraces with table, sufficient seating and barbecue facilities. All the properties also include free to air, English tv, dvd player and wi-fi. To the rear and side of the properties is a heated above ground swimming pool with pool level decking, safety gate and fencing. Below the pool, facing the beautiful, large wooded garden, is the communal terrace with sun loungers tables, chairs and a communal barbecue.
The spacious kitchen includes a table and 4 chairs for those who do not wish to use the dining room or terrace It is fully equipped with a five ring cooker and oven, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, micro wave, coffee-machine and toaster. All crockery, cutlery, linen and cooking utensils are included, if you cannot find what you require, please do not hesitate to ask, we will help as much as we can.
The separate large dining room, with a beautiful wood and glass screen, chestnut ceiling and floors sits upto twelve people. Also included are extra cutlery, crockery and place settings. The large bay window looks to the front of the house but for privacy there are wind down shutters. The occasional catered meal can be arranged, details, menu and price to be discussed on site.
The traditional, multi-aspect living room contains two three seater sofas,four arm chairs, a French dresser and four occasional tables. The rear window looks out over the extensive back garden, The side window looks out over the children's play and picnic area and the very large front windows and door look out over the private terrace and garden. The lounge also includes a large free to air TV, DVD and Wi-Fi. The floors and ceilings are also of chestnut.
There are 4 bedrooms in the property, the largest, is the family room which sleeps upto 4 with a large double bed,, a single bed and can be converted with another single bed. The room.has dual aspect, the rear looking over the back garden, the front leading out onto the large balcony with table and chairs. The second bedroom is a large double, with a front aspect bay window. The third is a twin bedded room with an en-suite shower room, sink and toilet, The fourth is a smaller bunk room, but with direct access to the balcony. All these rooms, except the bunk room, have an, unusable feature fire place. All rooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space and feature the household chestnut features.
There are two bathrooms in the house, the family bathroom has a large shower and sink and WC, the second is en-suite with a shower, sink and WC.. There is also a downstairs WC>
Every room contains an electric wall heater including the large downstairs hall. The lounge has two electric heaters plus a large wood burner and logs can be provided at extra cost.
Free to air English TV and DVD are in the lounge, books, DVDs and games are available in the shed. Fishing rods, reels and equipment are available for use on the river at the bottom of the garden. Boule sets for use in the garden, car park or on the gravel boule court in the park next to our property. Buckets, spades and other beach equipment is available on request to take to the many sandy beaches. Bikes of various sizes are to hire on site for use on the beautiful towpath, stretching for at least 17 flat and safe Kms in either direction from the property Two or three times a season with the agreement of our guests a joint barbeque can be arranged on the communal terrace with brick built barbeque, Everybody brings food and drink to share and get to know each other and a friendly (mostly) boule competition can be arranged. Or just a relaxing day on the poolside decking or tranquil garden.
The large front terrace, including a table, with sufficient seating, a gas fuelled barbeque and a large parasol. This and an enclosed grass area is entirely private. The extensive rear garden, main terrace and pool are shared with our other guests. The garden is partly wooded and partly grassed and features hammocks, swing seat, seated arbours, and badminton net. This leads directly to the towpath and river. The communal terrace has tables, chairs and a brick built barbeque. The sun loungers can be taken into the garden to a sunny or shaded spot as you desire. The overhead heated pool has a pool level, fenced sun deck with furniture.
Immediately outside the property there is space for two cars for loading and unloading, but opposite the car park can accommodate Numerous cars.
The accommodation is suitable for singles, couples or any size family unit, in the property and grounds, the local amenities are all within, casual, walking distance. Supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies and vets are all within 20 mins drive. Museums, beaches, recreation centres and historical sites are all within a 45 min drive. For younger children travel cots, high chairs and buggies are available on booking.
Approx 5 mins drive, this country park includes a miniature railway, pedal go-cart track and old fashioned games. Or just a gentle walk through the gardens admiring the animals. There is a large bar and creperie with also serves delicious ice creams and deserts.
Terrace facing the river Sophie and Luic speak excellent English and often have late night live music, traditonal Breton, Jazz and Rock and even Irish. Serve recommended Pizzas on request.
At the entrance to our lane just before the picnic area and childrens' playground. You can hire canoes and kayaks by the hour
Approx 30 mins drive, set in a historic town, this beautiful building dominates over the valley, and river, l'oust. The magnificent interior boasts a puppet museum.
Restaurant and bar facing the river. A La Carte available and special priced Plat de Jour Mon-Sat lunchtimes. A summer terrace menu with omelettes, steaks, pasta dishes and fish and even chicken nuggets.

Approx 5 mins drive, Near to Le Resto, horses can be hired but, unless you have a French riding certificate, you will have to show your ability to ride.
Approx 30 mins, this large museum is set in six hectares of wooded parkland including picnic and children's play areas. The museum shows the history and way of life during the second world war and includes excursions on an American half track around the grounds and featues.
These are run by the local students and are rented by the hour

Approx 20 mins, this is a mock traditional Breton farming village. Demonstrating the way of life normal country Bretons lived in the past, including housing, cooking, costumes and farming techniques.
