Adjoining the main house, Cockatoo is formerly the old hayloft which has been sympathetically renovated into a 3 bedroom gite. It retains many of the original features such as beamed ceilings and barn style front door. The private terrace is fully furnished with table, chairs, private barbecue and sun parasol. Bedroom 1 is a family room with a large double and a single bed, bedroom 2 has a large double bed and bedroom 3 has a single bed. All rooms have hanging and drawer space.
The kitchen/diner looks out over the communal terrace and rear garden and is fully equipped with cooker, under counter fridge, with ice box, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. The large kitchen table seats 6 comfortably.
The adjacent lounge has 2 two seater sofas and 2 armchairs, free to air English tv, dvd, video player and free wi-fi connection. All heating is electric and all linen and towels are included and changed weekly. Basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper are provided on arrival, if further provisions are required please contact the Owners prior to arrival and we will do our best.
The property is located in a gite complex at the end of the picturesque and tranquil village of St Nicolas Des Eaux, the main focus of the village is the River Blavet, one of the premier fishing rivers in France. The village boasts an ancient church and supposedly health enhancing fountains, riverside restaurants, bars and a crepiere all within five minute gentle stroll of the property.
Within the grounds there is a heated overground swimming pool with a pool level sun deck and communal terrace with a brick built barbecue, tables, chairs and sunloungers. The extensive riverside garden is half wooded and half grassed with loverly planted beds, a swing seat, hammocks and badminton net. In the garage opposite there are books, videos, dvds and beach equipment all for free use.
Next door to the property is a childrens play area and picnic ground with a Boule court, next to that there is a canoe/kayaak centre. Pedalos are available.
Approx 5 mins drive, this country park includes a miniature railway, pedal go-cart track and old fashioned games. Or just a gentle walk through the gardens admiring the animals. There is a large bar and creperie with also serves delicious ice creams and deserts.
Terrace facing the river Sophie and Luic speak excellent English and often have late night live music, traditonal Breton, Jazz and Rock and even Irish. Serve recommended Pizzas on request.
At the entrance to our lane just before the picnic area and childrens' playground. You can hire canoes and kayaks by the hour
Approx 30 mins drive, set in a historic town, this beautiful building dominates over the valley, and river, l'oust. The magnificent interior boasts a puppet museum.

Approx 5 mins drive, Near to Le Resto, horses can be hired but, unless you have a French riding certificate, you will have to show your ability to ride.
Approx 30 mins, this large museum is set in six hectares of wooded parkland including picnic and children's play areas. The museum shows the history and way of life during the second world war and includes excursions on an American half track around the grounds and featues.
These are run by the local students and are rented by the hour
