Heron Court is located at the end of the beautiful, tranquil village of St Nicolas Des Eaux and has been newly refurbished.
Heron Court is on and looks out over the large, wooded rear garden and comprises a lounge/kitchen diner and 2 en suite bedrooms. The first a family room with double and single bed, the second a double room with space for an extra single bed, both bedrooms are spacious with ample hanging and drawer space.
The living area has a fully equipped kitchen, a table with bench seating, a sofa and 2 armchairs, free to air English tv, dvd, video and free wi-fi connection.
All linen and towels are included and changed weekly.
French doors lead out onto a private furnished patio which is set in the extensive part wooded, part grassed garden which leads down to the towpath and river.
The garden is equipped with picnic tables, hammocks, sunloungers and a badminton net. Alongside the property is the large communal terrace, fully furnished and has a large brick built barbecue which, if requested during the season, can be used for a communal get together with the other guests for friendly lunch, drinks and games.
Next to this terrace is the communal overground, heated swimming pool and pool level sun deck, this is situated to capitalize on maximum sunlight.
The shed opposite the main building contains, books, dvds, videos, board games, garden games and beach equipment for the use of guests.
At the end of the garden is one of the premier fishing rivers in France with numerous species of fish for the professional and amateur (basic rods and equipment available in shed) anglers. The towpath affords guests of peaceful and beautiful walks along the river, apart from the village itself, all traffic free.
The village boasts 2 restaurants, the first is La Vallee, just 2 mins walk from the properties, this has a la carte and formula menus inside and a river front terrace menu for outside. The second is the Bistro Per Nicolas which offers an excellent but limited a la carte menu (it is best to book beforehand and check what is being served). There is also a very popular creperie ,which offers local ciders and wines, and if you cannot see anything on the menu you like, you can mix and match ingredients. There are also two bars, one serving pizzas and has live music some weekends, the other is the tabac. All restaurants and bars have outside terraces overlooking the river.
Next door to the properties is a children's play and picnic area, with a canoe/kayak centre next to that. Within a ten minute drive of the properties there is a nine hole golf course, horse riding stables, go-carting and an activity , where you can swing through the trees (like go-ape only safer) with 2 courses, one for childred of a certain height, and one for adults. The marvelous and numerous beaches of southern Brittany are all within 45 mins drive of the properties.

Approx 5 mins drive, this country park includes a miniature railway, pedal go-cart track and old fashioned games. Or just a gentle walk through the gardens admiring the animals. There is a large bar and creperie with also serves delicious ice creams and deserts.
Terrace facing the river Sophie and Luic speak excellent English and often have late night live music, traditonal Breton, Jazz and Rock and even Irish. Serve recommended Pizzas on request.

Approx 30 mins drive, set in a historic town, this beautiful building dominates over the valley, and river, l'oust. The magnificent interior boasts a puppet museum.
Restaurant and bar facing the river. A La Carte available and special priced Plat de Jour Mon-Sat lunchtimes. A summer terrace menu with omelettes, steaks, pasta dishes and fish and even chicken nuggets.

Approx 5 mins drive, Near to Le Resto, horses can be hired but, unless you have a French riding certificate, you will have to show your ability to ride.
Approx 30 mins, this large museum is set in six hectares of wooded parkland including picnic and children's play areas. The museum shows the history and way of life during the second world war and includes excursions on an American half track around the grounds and featues.
These are run by the local students and are rented by the hour

Approx 20 mins, this is a mock traditional Breton farming village. Demonstrating the way of life normal country Bretons lived in the past, including housing, cooking, costumes and farming techniques.
