The Château in Josselin is beautiful and impressive and is really worth a visit. Josselin itself is very pretty, throughout the year there are many festivals including Bastille Day on the 14th July with traditional music and dancing, fireworks. Locally there is a Pardon at the Chapelle de Pomeleuc, after which there is a Fete which includes local food and wine for a small fee and traditional entertainment.
The sandy beaches of the Golfe de Morbihan are only a 35 minute drive away.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were charming, friendly and helpful. It is a very rural location, quiet and peaceful. Nearby Josselin is a lovely medieval market town with all amenities and lovely canal side setting where you can hire boats and bicycles.
Thanks for the lovely review. We enjoyed welcoming you to our little haven in France, and are pleased that you enjoyed the area,
It was a fantastic learning opportunity for us as you were the first guests who asked to charge an electric vehicle, but I am pleased that we could oblige. We took on board your invaluable feedback, and future guests can now enjoy a hairdryer, hand towels and hand soap. This was something that the guests following you really appreciated - thank you again. If you are planning to visit the area again, We'd love to invite you back.
Lovely gite away from it all. Susan, Clive and David very helpful and on hand when required.. Friendly local bar. Ideal location for walking and sightseeing. Most comfortable large bed, good cooking facilities and constant hot water make this a very easy gite to stay in. Thank you!
Thank you for your review we are pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Au Bientot. Best wishes, Susan, Clive and David.
We loved the rural location of this gite. Josselin not far away with every facility if needed.
Hirondelle was very clean and comfortable; the bedroom in particular very light and airy.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, but also respected our privacy. Quality bikes were available to borrow to take advantage of the close location of the cycle pathway alongside the Brest/Nantes Canal. Easy driving distance to the coast - particularly liked La Trinite sur Mer. The historic centre of Vannes well worth exploring. Fully recommend this little gem of a place.
Thank you Both for your kind review. We are pleased you enjoyed the Gite and your stay in this area.
What a truly lovely Gite !!!!!!!!! We can recommend the Gite so so much and its charm will hit you like the surrounding garden and fields to .
The owners are lovely and so helpful in everyway from recommending local areas to visit and local restaurants and two local little bars will the typical French charm . If there was a problem which I stress the was not , it would be no bother for them to attend to it and resolve it .As they had pointed out .
A well fitted Gite to relax and enjoy the Brittany weather . The Gite is well equipped and clean and a nice parking spot to .
We can recommend staying out in the dark at night and looking at the stars , they are so clear and like us you will see an orbiting Satellite too .
A canal and a river a very close by and a picnic is well worth taking with you and of course a little bottle of refreshment ?
The local town of Josslin has a market on a Saturday and very busy too and the guided tour of the Chateau is a must . Lots of cafes in the town to mull away an hour or two and decided if a bigger town is of interest such as Lorient , for the boys the Submarine pens of the second world war !
Theres so much more to tell but not enough room !!!!!! 10 out of 10 .
Thank you for choosing Hirondelle for your holiday and thank you both for a brilliant review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it makes us happy for our guests to have a good experience. It was lovely to meet you both and many thanks for leaving the Cottage so clean and tidy. We hope to see you again.
Best wishes, Susan
