The campsite is situated near the picturesque, friendly village of St Nicholas Des Eaux is in the heart of the Blavet Valley and is only !5 mins from the medieval town and Napoleonic Chateau of Pontivy. It has a towpath through the village that extends for miles and is ideal for walking, picnics, biking.
Facilities include bicycle hire, canoes, pedaloes, boat trips and a boules area. It has two restaurants, two bars and a creperie, all with outside seating to enjoy the stunning views. There is a local outdoor swimming pool at Baud and an excellent golf course close by. It is a favorite with river fishermen. There is plenty to do.
A few minutes drive away there is open air go-carting, horse riding ,tennis courts, ten-pin bowling and and a forest adventure park.
The spectacular Gulf of Morbihan is less than an hour away as is the Granite Rose Coast to the north of Brittany. The famous Lac de Guerledan (Brittany's largest natural lake) provides swimming, boating and walking facilities plus summer-long events.
The coast and beaches are approx 1 hours away, those north of Lorient being reached most quickly Fort Blocqué (surf) and Guidel Plage (sailing), the beaches at Carnac (sailing), Quiberon (surf/sand yachting) are about 50 minutes away.
