La Chataigne is one of 3 luxurious cottages offered in a tranquil rural setting with a solar heated pool. Two identical 2 bedroom and one 1 bedroom cottages offering clean modern interiors whilst retaining the exterior character and charm of the original buildings.
Each cottage provides a comfortable lounge, they are all well equipped with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, television with dvd, private patio areas and garden furniture. We also provide complimentary wi-fi internet access and a comprehensive information pack on the local area. Whilst our usual changeover day is Saturday we can often be FLEXIBLE on ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE DAYS and your LENGTH OF STAY.
There are amazing views of the surrounding countryside, 2 barbecue areas and a solar heated swimming pool surrounded by a decked area with sunloungers.
Plouay is just a short drive away with some excellent restaurants and is famous as the home of the UCI Cycling Championships. It is ideally placed to explore the coast with several sandy beaches just 30 minutes away. Visit the Golfe du Morbihan and take a ferry to the scenic Ile de Groix or Belle Ile or enjoy horse riding, canoeing and cycling nearby. There are superb ferry links via St Malo or Roscoff and air links via Rennes or Brest.

On the first floor, bedroom one has a king size bed, single bed and mezzanine level for a child aged 8 plus. Bedroom two has a king size bed and mezzanine level for a child aged 8 plus. A cot and highchair are available on request.
A downstairs cloakroom with walk-in shower, basin and toilet provides a handy second bathroom for families. On the first floor there is also a large modern bathroom including bath, shower, basin and toilet
Electric radiators in all rooms, underfloor heating in the downstairs cloakroom/shower
UK Freesat and French television channels are provided

Double patio doors lead to a rear decked area with lawned garden. Double patio doors lead to a private front patio area. A garden table, chairs and parasol are provided. There are two barbecue areas and a pizza oven. The property also benefits from a lovely decked swimming pool area with sunbeds and parasol
There is gated access at the rear of the property with individual and ample parking space available for all our guests
Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets
There is a selection of adult bicycles available on a complimentary basis and additional storage for guests bikes if required
We purchased a holiday home in 2003 and loved the area so much we decided we wanted to live here permanently. We purchased our property in 2007 and took several years to complete the renovations. We set up our holiday rental business in 2012 which we enjoy immensely.

Pont Scoff Zoo is a must for any visit to Morbihan. For families there are many different animals parks in the area ranging from aquariums to aqua parks, or farms to zoological parks
Beautiful sandy beaches of Lamor Plage, Guidel Plage and Le Pouldhu are an easy 30 minute drive to the south west or try Port Louis, Carnac and Quiberon to the south east
Visit one of the many islands in the Golfe du Morbihan or take a trip out to the Ile de Groix or Belle Isle. There are many companies offering boat trips from various departure points, all offering a fantastic sight seeing experience
A visit to France would not be complete without seeing one of the beautiful Chateaux within our region, Pontivy, Josselin, Suscinio, Keguehhennec to name but a few
Plouay is the home of the Cycling World Championships in Brittany at the end of August. Cycling is very popular and there are many quiet country lanes which provde safe cycling nearby as well as canal tow paths
