We have recently realised our dream of leaving behind the 9-5 jobs and starting a new life in this beautiful area of France. We holidayed a lot in France when our 3 children where little, and more recently after they'd fled the nest and always enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. Our aim is to enjoy a quieter life , growing our own veggies and keeping a couple of chickens for fresh eggs, improving our French and generally living the joie de vie.

|Why this location?||We are so lucky to have found our dream house on our first viewing trip. It is an old farmhouse, with two adjoining stone cottages which are the gites. The location is rural and very quiet and peaceful and yet villages with all essentials such as bakery, supermarkets and pharmacies, as well as restaurants and bars, are less than 10 minutes drive away. We are not overlooked and the panoramic views from the house at any time of the year are stunning. We are just a few minutes walk away from l' Oust River and the Brest-Nantes Canal with its miles of safe walking and cycling paths.|
|Unique benefits of property||For a truly french rural experience stay in one of our two stone cottages. You will enjoy the peace and quiet and fabulous views of the valley down to the river. The roads here are ideal for cycling as they are quiet and travel through the beautiful countryside and pretty medieval towns such as Josselin, Pontivy and Rochefort en Terre are all nearby. Across the valley you can see the Abbaye de Timadeuc, a Cistercian Monastery which is just 20 minutes walk or a few minutes drive away. This fascinating Abbaye is open to the public and you can even join the monks for mass on Sundays. The area has two beautiful inland lakes, Lac au Duc and Lac de Guerledan offering scenic walks, beaches and watersports.
