Through thoughtful planning, La Vigne offers privacy whilst stilling working equally well for families, couples or families and grandparents. Each room has a king-size double bed, a day-bed which doubles as a full size 3ft single bed. A cot can be provided and additional sleeping is available on the metal framed, leather double sofa-bed on the mezzanine.

Set in countryside offering peace and tranquillity in the Blavet Valley, in this wonderful part of southern Brittany, this beautiful and immaculately kept gite (cottage) with its own heated pool (1 May - 30 Sept), is within walking distance (1 km) of the village of Quistinic.

Perfect for exploring the vast sandy beaches at Guidel Plage or Carnac Plage, and the historic towns of Josselin, Auray, Pontivy or Vannes, to name but a few of the many architecturally rich towns of the region.

Once part of an old stone farmhouse, La Vigne "The Vine" has been immaculately restored, whilst retaining the character of the property with its beamed ceilings and granite fireplace. Finished to an exceptional standard with a well-equipped kitchen including an American style fridge-freezer with ice and water dispenser, that provides the comfort and space for those looking for a home from home experience.

Attention to detail continues upstairs, with a magnificent vaulted ceiling to bedroom 2 and walnut flooring.

For those who still need to keep in contact whilst away, the modern-day facility of free unlimited Wi-Fi has been added.



Kitchen and dining

Well equipped modern kitchen with American style ice and water dispensing fridge-freezer. The kitchen itself has gas hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafeteria, slow cooker and large selection of crockery, cutlery and utensils. A selection of herbs, salt, pepper, oils, coffee, tea (including herbal and decaf), sugar and milk, are provided to get you started.

A washing machine can be found in your own separate utility room next to the pool, which also houses another toilet.

Dining Area
Part of the open plan layout of the gite, a large oak table and chairs can comfortably seat 8 people. Highchairs are available upon request.

Living rooms

The open planned, beamed lounge area with a large stone, granite fireplace, woodburner, and luxury leather sofas is the perfect place in which to relax and wind-down after a day out.

Sunny south facing patio with parasol, recliners and gravity chairs for those who prefer to sunbathe in a more upright position. Adjacent to the pool is your own utility room (with washing machine) and separate wc for your convenience.

Charcoal bbq

Children's activity center with swing, slide, climbing frame and sand-pit. Other garden games include, badminton, football goal net and a selection of games/toys available for guests to enjoy.

Parking and garages

Parking available immediately outside of the property (off road) for several cars. Undercover to provide shade from the sun available for one car.
Covered parking available for motorbikes/bicycles.

Visitor suitability

Perfect for families or couples who are wishing to "get away from it all" and enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Excellent for under 5's with the extensive selection of baby/toddler equipment provided and secure area within the gamesroom.

Due to the age and style of the gite the property is not suitable for wheelchair users.

No smoking indoors.

Evening meals can be provided, via a local chef.

A choice of beautiful sandy beaches' on the Southern Brittany coast are just an easy drive away. In addition, there is a river "beach" on the Blavet. La Vigne is also ideally situated for visiting the many historical towns of the region.

The large beautiful sandy beaches of southern Brittany, such as Lamor Plage or Carnac, offer an excellent choice of secluded coves, with large expanses of sand and watersport facilities.

Historic towns

The towns Vannes, Auray, Pontivy with their cobbled streets and weekly markets, offering plenty of choice of fresh produce.

Megaliths - "standing stones"

One of the best sites to visit to see one of the many Neolithic remaining sites of "standing stones" is the alignments at Carnac. The stones, together with the very informative Visitor Centre, is certainly worthy of a visit.

Or, for those who enjoy a evening stroll, "Pizza Phil", visits the centre of Quistinic once a week, where you can order a freshly baked pizza and enjoy a glass of wine in the local bar, whilst it is being prepared.

Poul Fetan

An ancient 16th century working farm just on the edge of Quistinic, where you can discover how the Breton people lived and worked.

Walking and Cycling

Collect fresh croissants from the local shop (1km) each morning or, with the quiet rural lanes and the river Blavet towpath, only being a few km's away, take full advantage of the bicycles, together with toddler seat, if required. (Please bring your own helmets).
