Carnac is known throughout the world for its unique rows of ancient standing stones. The town is split into two areas: Carnac-Ville, where you’ll find the Museum of Prehistory, and Carnac-Plage, a family seaside resort with a state-of-the-art thalassotherapy centre. Oyster farming is big business.
With fantastic views over the isle of Groix, Kerguelen beach, 1.6 km long, offers excellent water quality for swimming. It's also home to one of Europe’s biggest watersports centres where you can try a number of activities (sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding...) and watch competitions. With two lifeguard posts, this beach is very well supervised.
The walled town of Vannes is without doubt one of Brittany’s most attractive sights and a must-visit on any trip to Morbihan. Wander around the well-preserved medieval streets before enjoying a harbour-side lunch then taking a boat trip around the gulf. Kids will love the aquarium and butterflies.
The vibrant university city of Rennes, Brittany’s administrative capital, is worth a day or two of anyone’s time. Take a wander around the medieval streets of the picture-perfect old town and admire the impressive parliament building before relaxing in the Thabor gardens.
A towering 16th-century spire rockets up above the remaining medieval ramparts of Hennebont, an historic port at a strategic river-crossing on the Blavet, at the back of Lorient’s huge natural harbour. In the 19th century, industry arrived in town, plus an important stud farm championing the Breton horse.
Jutting out into the sea for 9 miles (14km) and just 72ft (22m) wide at its narrowest point, the Quiberon Peninsula is a tourist destination par excellence. With its rugged coastline, sweeping sandy beaches, fishing villages and rich cultural history, this beautiful area of Morbihan won’t disappoint.
Half way between Lorient and Quiberon, the Étel river flows inland like an outstretched hand for 9 square miles. Its dangerous mouth has swallowed many a sailor and its town of the same name was once one France’s most important tuna fishing ports. These days it has plenty to interest visitors.
Very nice crêperie in Baud. Friendly welcome by the owners, a very attentive, friendly and smiling staff. For gourmands do not hesitate to taste sweet and delicious crepes. Would highly recommend.
This is a fantastic place to visit, when we go to France we love searching for the smaller amusement parks and this is by far the best one we have found so far.
One of the best sites we have stayed in, everything was provided and offered plenty of room for a family of 4. Le Pierrot is one of a few gites in a very quiet and relaxing location within a 40 minute drive to local towns and some very nice beaches. The area is perfect for cycling and very safe for small children. The pool was fantastic.
Hi Rob and Sarah
It was really great to meet you all.
Fantastic that Reuben was able to join in with the other children who were here at the same time .
Thank you very much for the review and your comments .
Should you decide to venture this way again you would be very welcome and do enjoy the rest of the summer
Vicky and Sam

Dear Carole and Nigel

We have just returned from a perfect week spent at Le Pierrot. From the initial response to our enquiry right through to the day we returned home the level of service and attention from Vicky and Sam has been first class.
Kerabellec is situated in quiet countryside but only a few minutes from the local shops and amenities, perfect for sleeping late, relaxing and recharging the batteries. It is ideally located to easily explore the whole of the Gulf of Morbihan and surrounding areas.
Our gite was an old bakery full of character and French charm, very well refurbished and adapted for modern living. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. The whole property was spotless from top to bottom.
If you are considering visiting this area of France we cannot recommend it highly enough. Vicky and Sam were the perfect hosts making us very welcome, so welcome that we did not want to come home.
A very special place
Hi Richard and Lisa
Thank you for being such fantastic guests and we would definitely love to see you back at Kerabellec.
A big thank you for leaving the gite so clean and tidy after your departure.
We loved our two weeks in the Gites Kerabellec. The advertisement we responded too was fulfilled fully. The Gites are in tip top condition. The owners who live in the complex went above and beyond expectations to be helpful. We loved every minute of the time there.
There were nineteen in our family there in the 4 Gites including 8 children under 9. They had a great time in the pool and play areas in the gardens. Some days they just did not want to go anywhere else even though we enjoyed the beaches, zoo's and adventure play grounds nearby (10 to 45 minutes drives away).
We would highly recommend it to other family's and have the highest praise for Sam and Vicky the owners who made sure we got the maximum enjoyment from our stay.
It was a pleasure to have you all stay here at Kerabellec, and great to see all the children play so well together .
The weather was perfect for you, and the pool cover was open more than closed .
Noel and Carol you have a lovely family
Thank you for booking with us and you would be very welcome anytime , even Poppy and Rufas the two boxer dogs, loved being with all the family.
Have a great summer
Lots of love
Vicky and Sam
