The Barn at Hotel Orio is a converted Barn originally built (we think) in the 17th Century. Now fully refurbished it contains many of the original features both internally and externally. It adjoins our own house and is set in our 5,000 square metres of land on which we grow organic vegetables.
The Barn provides a large lounge, diner, kitchen with separate bedroom and shower/wc.
Outside there is a small garden and terrace facing south with outdoor furniture and a bbq for guests use
There is ample parking for our guests cars and for those travelling by motorcycle or cycle we have undercover areas where they can be secured.
We can, on request fire up our pizza oven for that authentic wood cooked pizza!
We regret that because of the nature of the property and our own animals we cannot accept dogs.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, large gas range and oven and a full selection of utensils and cookware. There is a washing machine and guests are able to use our tumbledryer if the weather is not conducive to line drying.
The dining table is in the lounge and comfortably seats 4.
The lounge area is furnished with a comfortable bed settee, rocking chair and footstool and for those cool evenings a substantial wood burning stove (starter pack of logs included).
The bedroom has a king size double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. We use duvets of appropriate TOG rating for the season. All linen is provided.
The bathroom is compact and houses a shower cubicle, wash basin and wc. Heating is by the electric towel rail. Towels are provided.
If required there is a large wood burning stove in the lounge area. we also provide portable electric heaters if the weather dictates.
There is UK and French satellite television, a dvd Player with a selection of films and plenty of books.
The garden faces south and is fenced for safety. There is a small patio area and we provide a table and chairs and a bbq for guests to use.
Parking is available for guests vehicles on the hardstanding in the courtyard. For those arriving by motorcycle or cycle we have undercover areas where they can be secured.
We regret that because of the stepped access to the front door and the size of the bathroom The Barn may not be appropriate for guests with restricted mobility.
We do not provide any baby/toddler specific items.

|Why this location?||Hotel Orio is well located in Brittany for access to St Malo and Jersey (where we have family). The proximity of Rennes and Nantes airports is an advantage along with the TGV service from Redon. The countryside is open and rolling, the sea is 30 minutes away.|
|Unique benefits of property||The Barn is a small, cosy property set in 5,000 square metres of grounds. Whilst it is rural and not overshadowed by neighbours there is very easy access to the towns of La Gacilly, Carentoir and St Martin sur Oust. The regional centre of Redon is 25 minutes distant and Rennes about 50 minutes.|
