The house is both spacious and comfortable offering accommodation for up to 10 people. It is set within one acre with guests having private access to the pool area and a large lawned games area set up with a volleyball court and table tennis. The terrace balcony along the front of the house offers a wonderful place to sit and relax with a glass of wine and a good book.
There is also a patio area to the rear of the property which offers the ideal opportunity for dining 'alfresco' and a bbq is available for outside cooking. The situation and facilities mean that guests have the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The dining room (4.44m x 4.20m) is well proportioned and comfortably accommodates 10 people making it an ideal room for guests to gather at meal times.
The kitchen (4.18m x 3.42m) is well equipped with a good range of dishes and utensils available for self catering purposes. There is a range cooker with 2 electric ovens and a gas hob. There is also a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and cafeteria.
The summer salon (4.44m x 4.2m) with snug area (3.16m x 3.50m) is a large and comfortable room with plenty of seating, side tables and a tv with Freesat channels and a dvd.
There is a small reading area with a comfortable chair and a good selection of books to choose from.
The house has 4 bedrooms which are spacious and comfortably accommodate the beds allocated.
The en suite bedroom (4.56m x 3.48m) on the ground floor is a spacious, light and airy room. There is a double bed, sliding wardrobes with masses of space and plenty of hangers. The en suite bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and wash basin. This room has been successfully utilised by visitors with disabilities in the past. There is an opportunity to include a Jaybe guest bed within this room if required.
The first bedroom (4.20m x 3.60m) on the first floor has one double bed and one single bed, a wardrobe, small drawers and dressing table.
The second bedroom (4.20m x 3.40m) on the first floor has a double bed, wardrobe and drawers.There is an opportunity to include a Jaybe guest bed within this room if required.
The third bedroom (7m x 3.37m) on the first floor has three single beds and a sofabed, a wardrobe and drawers.
The ground floor en suite bathroom (3.45m x 2m) was updated in 2015 to include a fabulous walk in shower. It has a large bath that is perfect for soaking in, and wash basin and toilet facilities.
On the 1st floor there is a family bathroom (3.04m x 2.5m) with 3/4 bath, walk in shower, wash basin and toilet.
There is a separate ground floor toilet.
No heating is required at the property during summer rentals.
For autumn and winters rentals, there is a wood burning fire which powers the central heating system.
Wi-fi is available at the property giving unlimited internet access.
There is a large tv with Freest channels and dvd. Guests can loan from a selection of dvds on request, or are welcome to bring their own favourites with them.
There is a range of books to suit all tastes and a selection of family boardgames available.
The pool at the property is heated and for the private use of the occupiers of the house. It is monitored for water quality on a daily basis and is cleaned regularly to ensure standards are maintained.
The pool is 8m in length and is 4m across, widening to 5.5m at the shallow end. The depth of the pool is 2m at the deep end and 1m at the shallow end. Access is by steps.
Improvements to the pool area in 2017 include the construction of a stunning oak gazebo which gives shelter from the sun when needed, and a wooden decking area with raised beds making the poolside a delightful place to relax.
There is a large play area situated just beyond the swimming pool which is secured and suitable for football, volleyball and other ball games. There is also a table tennis set up in this area and a selection of bats and racquets are available including badminton.
At the rear of the property there is a large seating area and a excellent gas barbecue.
Parking spaces are available for up to 4 cars.
The house has a wonderful flexibility about it which makes it user friendly to all, whether you want to holiday as a couple, family or friends.
Notes on accommodation:
Please note that this is a split level property with the ground floor of the main house being on a level with the pool and lawned games area. There is a service apartment at the lower level which is occupied by the owner during the summer.
The pool is reserved solely for the use of the guests, as is the lawned games area situated beyond the pool. The driveway and parking area is shared.
Bed linen is supplied with beds being made up for your arrival.
Towels can be hired at a cost of £9 per bale. This consists of a bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel.
A highchair and travelcot are available.
