Early 2016 a family friend introduced us to this fantastic gite, and we fell in love with it straight away. Within days the offer was made and a few months later we were proud owners of an amazing retreat that we would like to share with everybody.<br/>We are Janice (Mother), Gemma (Daugher), Callum (son) and Laura (Daughter-In-Law). With a little Grandson,

The Nantes-Brest canal is very beautiful and picturesque, lots of walking or cycling to be had, course fishing, hiring of canal boats, not forgetting the nature side of things, so don't forget your camera and take piccies of ducks, herons, water voles, dragon flies etc.
The Jardin aux papillons (butterfly centre) is fascinating to see for all ages, learn about the life cycle of the butterfly whilst magnificent butterflies fly freely around you in a tropical jungle, some are huge!

Voted “prettiest village in France” in 2015. With its cobbled streets, beautiful geraniums everywhere. The church with its abundance of stunning stained glass windows, amazing colours, it is a must see on your holiday agenda!
A stunning and picturesque port with hundred of boats to look at, with often exhibitions along the quayside.

End cottage of a pretty terrace of three. Old but walls thick enough for there to be no sound transference. Interior is to a very high standard and fully equipped (much more than usual). More like a Airbnb. Very quiet virtually no traffic noise
Tricky to find first time as Sat Nav leads to wrong road but access very easy and good parking.
Facilities marked down one point because we though a couple of sun loungers would make it perfect and WiFI didn't connect but we understood that this was to be reconfigured.
Location is about 4 miles from either of two villages so actually nothing "local" but either village has restaurants and supermarket so not real problem - we travel further than that when at home.
Numerous pretty villages, chateaus and castles all with 30 mile radius with Vannes being about 30mins.
Much to recommend little to gripe about Good value for money
