Having spent many family holidays all over France, my husband's early retirement gave us the opportunity to begin a new adventure in rural Brittany. The moment we saw the property we experienced what the French call a "coup de coeur", in other words we fell in love with it. Our five year plan has been extended indefinitely.
|Year property purchased||2004|
|Why this location?||The Morbihan department of Brittany has gentle rolling countryside and is within easy reach of the beautiful southern coastline. It has a pleasant climate without the extremes found in other areas of France and of course it is within easy reach of family and friends in the U.K.|
|Unique benefits of property||The property offers large cottages, which can comfortably accommodate extended families or groups of friends, in 4 acres of tranquil countryside. The outdoor pool is covered by a large domed structure which maintains the water at a comfortable temperature. However in hot weather, the sides can slide into the roof thereby allowing it to become an open air pool.|

This part of Brittany has 5 excellent golf courses, numerous forest or riverside walks and cycle paths and the river Blavet has several canoe/kayak facilities along its length and miles of unspoilt riverbank for fishing.
