|Year property purchased||1990|
|Why this location?||Best location in Dinan in the heart of the medieval city on a no through road except for residents access only ! generally quiet and un-polluted by traffic so safe for children and guests.|
|Unique benefits of property||LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION you do not need a car to enjoy this town !|
Just off the centre of this beautiful medieval town with canal paths, coast, beaches, chateau, museums and boat hire. Rennes the regional capital is just 30 minutes to the south.
Also ideally located for exploring the region by car, with a good road network in all directions.
There are many restaurants within a few minutes walk, Creperie Ahna is just 100 metres away and highly recommended.
Fantastic location, although a little difficult to find on arrival (being in centre of medieval DInan with it's very narrow streets)
Just short walk from shops, cafe's, restaurants and historic Dinan, also on street leading 'DOWN' to port.
Also great base for exploring the coast and that part of Brittany.
Fab zoo 10 miles away.
From a holiday makers point of view the house lacked a freezer or even freezer compartment in fridge.
I think perhaps more emphasis needs to be placed on how difficult access to the 2nd floor is.
Excellent communications with owner offering all the help you could need.
Would recommend to family with grown up children, best suited to a couple.
Lovely old house, lots of character just like the town. Booking easy, information and help beforehand was very good. Stayed for a lovely sunny week, parked the car and left it parked for the week, so much to see, lovely river walks with the dog, gallons of red wine and lovely meals at a wide range of friendly places. Great week.
A very beautiful house, situated in a very beautiful town in Brittany. So much to see. Lovely restaurants. Locals are very accomodating. Not a place for high heals...... coble stone roads. Very picturesque. Will defiantly go back.... A week is not long enough....
