We first came to Le Rest over 25 years ago with our family and fell immediately in love with this beautiful corner of France. For us it was the uncluttered beaches, coastal rambles and the untouched Breton countryside that gave us a feeling of freedom and with it, complete relaxation….and nothing has changed.

Just a few miles drive or walking along the coastal path, if you like a good walk! A very pretty port still used as a small fishing port where you can buy mussels straight off the boat. On the quay is the Cafe du Port now being run by a young friendly couple...... moules frites recommended!
This is a delightful small port along the coast road, very pretty and well worth a visit. It has a number of good restaurants for all tastes.
An attractive small Bourg with a good selection of shops and an excellent Sunday street market. Also some supermarkets including Super U - very good and Lidl!
There is so much good to say about this part of Brittany to include here but you will find in the cottage an information book giving more information about where to go and what to see. We shall be very pleased to answer any questions you may have by contacting us through our contact telephone number and email on this site.
The local village right on the coast within just over half a mile walking distance. The sandy beach is very long and flat ideal for windsurfing, sand yachting and bathing. There is a sailing school just a mile or 2 away. The village has a cafe/tabac and there is a local bakery.
This particular area is especially beautiful and unspoilt, with the coastline being described by some as the best in France. Well served by Brittany Ferries with ports of Roscoff, St Malo, Cherbourg and Caen.
