Detached Cottage on Edge of Village, Rostrenen 11km. This cottage/gite is in a village setting.

Fully equipped 4 bedroomed cottage with all mod cons including dishwasher, microwave and Sky TV as well as basement utility room with automatic washer, a tumble dryer and ironing equipment.
Beautiful location on edge of the village of Gouarec with all the necessary amenities but which is also in the countryside with views of fields and livestock. Fishing, horse riding, swimming and water sports in the area. Cottage has a games room with pool, darts, table tennis, free play fruit machine, karaoke and table football. Large garden with facilities for badminton, boules and volleyball. Large shed containing 4 bikes and bbq equipment and garden furnutire for your use, free wi-fi broadband internet access, full central heating. Not suitable for pets.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen has a fan assisted double oven and ceramic stove top. There is large fridge-freezer, a microwave, a filter coffee-maker, and also an electric kettle and toaster. There is a high level tv that shows what is being shown in the living room so that whoever has to make the coffee doesn't need to miss anything!
There is a dining table and chairs here too.

Living rooms

The living room has 2 comfortable sofas. The tv receives both French digital freeview tv and UK satellite tv and radio channels. There is also a dvd player and a collection of dvds including some French ones with English subtitles available. The broadband router is located in this room.


There are 4 bedrooms including 2 adult double rooms that both receive UK satellite tv. Additionally there is a single bedroom plus a children's bunk bedroom that can sleep up to 5. There is also a travelcot provided.


One main bathroom with bath/shower, hand basin and a bidet , plus 1 washroom equipped with toilet and hand basin.


Full central heating to hall, kitchen, living room, both bathrooms and all bedrooms.


In addition to the 4 tvs and the 2 dvd players provided, in the basement we have a gamesroom with pool table, darts, table football, free play fruit machine, karaoke machine and table tennis. There is also a large selection of boardgames provided as well a equipment for outdoor games.

Garden and outside

The back garden is large with plenty of room for some to play badminton or volleyball while others soak up the sun on sunloungers or in the swing seat. There is a large outdoor dining table and chairs. There is also a large trampoline that is netted for child safety reasons.
The shed contains bbq equipment and bicycles.
If you're there at the right time of year you can help yourselves to fruits and berries from our trees and bushes.
To the front there is a verandah and a bistro table and chairs where you can sit and watch the world go by.

There is integral garage as well as a large driveway that can take 2 or 3 cars.

This is our second stay at this property and again it was great. The property is well maintained and fully equipped with everything that we needed. The garden has its own apple and pear trees and a lovely new summerhouse which was ideal for the two of us to sit out with a glass of wine and a book.
In the village the tabac does a really good lunch and there is a good Pizza restaurant.

We would also suggest the bar at Bon Repo for both coffee and food.

We had a lovely 2 weeks at this cottage in Gouarec. Clive and Frankie were very easy to deal with and the cottage and Garden were just as described. The house was very clean and comfortable and the garden was a lovely quiet space to relax.

The village has some local restaurants and a boulangerie and is a great place to explore the surrounding area. We took our bicycles and went on a few runs along the Nantes/Brest Canal and green way routes.

We have a couple of teenage kids who were thrilled with the games room and the first class Wi-Fi

Ideal for a family group and with children of any age.
Well equipped with a good variety of entertainment options.
Large garden with fruit trees and lawns plus lots of swings, trampolines etc.
Property was clean with a Very nice welcome pack and a lovely friendly welcome from the properties local English agent, who was available to answer any queries..
I would certainly recommend this holiday venue for a family or group.

Great property on the ourskirts of a lovely village which had fantastic amenities. Plenty of room and very well equiped. English TV. Bed very comfortable. Nice to have of street parking and a large garden. Great for large families and couples alike. Perfect position to enjoy all of Britanny.
