There is a small family run pizzeria in the village, along with a couple of bars, a creperie, and a traditional French restaurant.
We went as a group of 4 adults for one week. We found Guoarec to be a calm, tranquil and scenic village. The house itself was much larger than we had anticipated as it had 4 bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, living room, kitchen and the basement had been converted into a games room. The information folder that was provided was extremely useful and informative, as were the owners who gave us their own recommendations on places of interest. The house was spotless and well maintained. I highly recommend a nearby crêperie called Crêperie de Bon Repos - the owners are friendly and welcoming, and the crepes and galettes were to die for. It was an enjoyable trip for us and we would visit again.
Thank you for your kind words. You will be very welcome again.
This was a wonderful gite - there were only two of us but it would be ideal for a large family. The gite had really good facilities, everything had been thought about and the bottles of wine and basic groceries that were left for us were really welcome and a lovely touch. The garden is out of this world!! and a real credit to whoever does it!!. As for days out - we would recommend Le Bon-Repas and Lac Guerledan - gorgeous places and just up the road. We went to the coast twice - North and West - fair drive about an hour or so but the roads are good and the views were worth it !Would recommend for a relaxing holiday.
Thank you for your kind comments Sarah.
It was a lovely house with all the comforts of home, we enjoyed all the games in the cellar and had a laugh trying them out. We had a few rainy days so we didn't make the most of the really beautiful garden but there was the TV, Wi-Fi and plenty of board games. we had a lovely meal in the pizza restaurant and the place over the bridge by the canal in the village We had a great holiday here and would recommend it to anyone especially families with children. Thanks Clive and Frankie
This is our second stay at this property and again it was great. The property is well maintained and fully equipped with everything that we needed. The garden has its own apple and pear trees and a lovely new summerhouse which was ideal for the two of us to sit out with a glass of wine and a book.
In the village the tabac does a really good lunch and there is a good Pizza restaurant.
We would also suggest the bar at Bon Repo for both coffee and food.
