A lovely gite,in a superb setting. We were four artists travelling to France for a retreat. Peter and Alison kindly allowed us to use the games room as a studio- it was perfect for this purpose. The house was really spacious and comfortable, we loved the doors opening on to the garden The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with superb quality pots and pans and knives- so often lacking in gites.Bedrooms were comfortable, Everything clean.Rebecca the housekeeper was easy to contact and very helpful when we had a glitch with the washing machine. The garden and lake are beautiful and it's really peaceful. The downside of this is you have to plan a little re supplies, as everything involves a drive- no strolling out in the morning to buy a baguette and a pint of milk. It's a lovely old traditional house- this means squeaky floorboards and soundproofing not to modern standards. We had to be considerate if wandering around at night - not a criticism, but something that a large party who keep different time schedules might want to be aware of. All in all, very highly recommended.

Owner response

Thanks Caroline we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for looking after everything. The local shops are in the neighbouring towns a short drive / few km (including an excellent bakery and butcher).

A truly wonderful holiday home. Comfortable and relaxing but only a short distance from some great places and the beaches.
This is a very well presented property that is obviously well loved and looked after by the owners.
Whether just the two of you, or a large group with kids, this is a fantastic base in a wonderful area.

The cottage has plenty of character and was perfect for our family, the cottage was well equipped and there was everything we needed including a cot, highchair and stair case for us. It is in a lovely quiet hamlet and a really lovely view from the garden. available for us. We really enjoyed this area of Brittany, the beaches were fantastic and we found plenty to explore.

We had a fabulous holiday, our boys enormously enjoyed the canoe, table tennis and table football and we all appreciated the WiFi which helped us plan our days. The garden is well protected from the weather and quiet and relaxing place to come back to after a day out.
