This garden view is framed by an avenue of beautiful shrubs and trees – from the pinks and blues of the hydrangeas, to the lemon yellows of the mimosa tree. A grassed terrace on the north side looks out onto open fields bordered by our cider-apple trees. The nearest field is home to two donkeys, a pony, and a horse.
A specially constructed parking area can also be found on the north side. This area is purposefully lower than the garden terrace so that the panoramic views of the countryside remain uninterrupted. Roscoff 45 minutes.
I have to say it is 10/10 for us for all the headings above. We have stayed here at least six times before and come back time after time as it is so convenient for the ferry (less than an hour from Roscoff) as well as being very good for my husband who is a wheelchair user. The setting is quiet and very pretty, the family who run the gite so friendly, kind and helpful, the area so convenient for the coast as well as the local town and is always clean and warm. Our two grown-up daughters come and join us if they can and really enjoy it too. We would definitely recommend this gite.
The local town of Lannion is charming and has a good selection of shops, beautiful old houses, little cafes and a lively market. The coast nearby is easily accessed and includes sandy beaches as well as our favourite Pink Granite coastline. We love to zoo at Tregomeur, the lovely views from La Roche Jagu and the walk around Presqu'isle Renote. Severla of our family have to have a Gluten Free diet but this isn't difficult with the local sarrasin flour in the gallettes. There are lovely places to eat out.
Pretty, spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped gite in a perfect location for exploring the area and coast.
Easy to reach from the port of Roscoff.
Ideal facilities for wheelchair users/disabled. The owners are very helpful and welcoming.
We had a wonderful break as the gite met the needs of our disabled family member.
We highly recommend a holiday at La Grange.
Good, clear communication prior to our holiday, followed by a very friendly welcome when we arrived. Excellent peaceful setting, well equiped Gite. Disabled facilities well thought out and hiring of specialist equipment made our stay so much easier.
Owners very relaxed and helpful. Great place as a base to visit area, lovely beaches close by.
Only criticism is Gite sleeps 8, but seating although comfortable, was only for 4, a couple more easy chairs, which could be pushed to the side to allow easy wheelchair movement would be ideal.
Would definitely stay again.
Thanks Chris for your very positive review. We have noted your comment about easy chairs in the lounge area and will seek to amend this as soon as we can. With clients needing wheelchair access we have always been concious not to clutter the space with too much furniture, but as you say, some light weight chairs could solve this.
Excellent hosts, highly recommended property, suited me pretty well as a manual wheelchair user, with plenty of accessible places to travel to nearby.
And the rest of the family enjoyed it too - so much that this is now our fourth visit to this gite.
