We have owned Les Hirondelles for 10 years as our second home and always find new experiences every time we visit. This area of France has an endless choice of activities for all ages and allows you to immerse yourself in all things France with only a short journey from the U.K. Some people do find the south of France unbearably hot, and we are finding more and more families are returning to Brittany for a more varied and stimulating break.
Travel is so easy - only 20 minutes from St Malo port (served from Portsmouth/Plymouth) under 2 hours from Caen, Cherbourg or Roscoff and slightly longer from Le Havre.
Miniscule Dinard airport is served from Stansted and sometimes from other UK airports (browse Ryanair) and is a remarkable 10 minutes drive to the cottage. Car hire is available at the airport. We can advise on the best options.
We are members of Brittany Ferries Travel Club so can advise you of our membership number for discounts.

|Why this location?||This area of Brittany has so much to offer for a wide range of ages and interests. The coastline is stunning, as is the estuary. Fresh air and open clean beaches and lots of green fields and wildlife. You really feel that you are on a complete break from home in every way, yet it is so close to the UK.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our cottage breathes character, from old stonework to exposed beams yet we have decorated it such that it is contemporary as well. Mostly it is amazingly quiet - the estuary water makes evenings and nights even quieter than our home in Somerset - it is remarkable.|
Driving west along the coast is invigorating with cliffs and sandy beaches and lots of fresh atlantic air. A range of small coastal towns add variety and then once again you are back in countryside. A number of headlands including St Just and Cap Ferrett give the chance to enjoy remarkable natural scenery.
