It is ideally located for either a relaxing and intimate break in peaceful seclusion or for using as a base to explore the delights of Brittany. Its a lovely romantic area which is ideal for a single couple, 2 couples or families. Children are very welcome and there is plenty for them to explore in the surrounding countryside. You can also bring your pets to gambol in the delightful surroundings.
With the terraces and garden you can enjoy your meals outside, from breakfast to aperitif to BBQ, or observe the sky full of stars at night time, or just sit on the large patio and enjoy the tranquil countryside, recharging your batteries with peaceful relaxation in the large private grassed and tree lined area adjoining the property.
Located in the centre of Brittany in an area where nature has been preserved, there are many fascinating walking and cycling trails where you will find traditional bocages (divided pastureland), moorlands, forests and lakes. 45 mins from the beaches of the North Coast and towns of Binic, St-Quay-Portrieux and Plouha. 10 mins away are the towns of Rostrenen and Callac where there are bars, restaurants, creperies, shops and banks. And, of course, you can venture into central Brittany to explore numerous historical places of interest.
Mael Carhaix, Guerledan Lake and the Canal of Nantes-Brest are within easy distance. Lake Guerledan is only 30 min away from the property. You will find pedalos, boats. The area also offers extensive trails for walking and cycling. The Quénécan forest and Abbaye de Bon Repos are not to be missed.

I just love old buildings. Restoring this property has been very enjoyable and challenging at time but now I can relax sitting on the patio and admire the lovely countryside around it.

You will have the possibility to discover the coast of Brittany in the north with Tregastel, Perros Guirec, the Pink Granite Coast, Paimpol, Plouha, Binic, the Morlaix Bay, in the South, the "closed city" at Concarneau, Quimper, Pont Aven (the city of painters) etc. .. Approximately 1 hour.

Every year, there are many local festivals - The festival of Old Plows at Carhaix (des Veilles Charrues, a sound and light show (Son et Lumiere) at the Abbey of Bon Repos, the fete of the music at St Brieux, a festival of the Saint Loup at Guingamps, the fete of the crepe at Gourin etc. ..
The town of Rostrenen and Callac is approximately 15 min, Carhaix is 20 min and Vannes, St Brieuc are approx 1 hour, the town of Guingamp is 30 min.
The Nantes-Brest Canal has many walking and cycling trails. Many old railway tracks have been converted and can be used for cycling, (tracks green and blue (voies bleues et vertes).
Brittany offers many sporting activities, treetop adventure park in the Vallee of d'Hyeres, paramotor (paragliding) with an instructor. The Lac de Guerledan offers many activities as kayaks, sailing boats, pedalos or water-skiing. Lucky fishermen can bring back some fish. There is a footpath around the lake. Another path ventures into the Cave of Daoulas. In the forest, multiple equestrian and mountain biking trails are signposted.
