Le Guillevic is a 3 bedroom gite that sleeps 6. It is 1 of 3 gites renovated from a ancient longhouse. It is brand new this year and has been converted with care to a high standard, retaining original features and decorated in a fresh and modern style with thoughtful and luxurious touches. There are wooden floors throughout.
The gite is set in a beautiful rural location (so a car is essential) and is part of an old farm. There are stunning views to the Mene Bre mountains. Apart from its own private garden there is a lovely communal area and a further 3 acres of parkland to enjoy.
We live onsite in the old farmhouse (parts of which date back to 16th century) so are around to help and advise should you need it.
It is a wonderful peaceful environment to kick back and relax or to enjoy our games room with ping pong and pool table. Children are very welcome and we can supply a cot, high chair etc. Local amenities, fantastic beaches, walks, golf, water sports, to name a few are a short drive away.
There is an ancient cider press and small apple orchard and the 3 gites are named after Breton cider apples!
The gite is fully equipped with all modern conveniences for your enjoyment, including WI-FI (good connection) TV, DVD. There is a small selection of books and DVDs for your enjoyment. All three bedrooms are ensuite and the beds, mattresses, bed linen and towels are of a high standard. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and is suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Open plan layout with fitted units. Full size oven and vitroceramic hob. Washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Saucepans, cooking untensils cutlery and crockery. Also provided are tea towels, kitchen paper, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets.
The dining area seats 6 comfortably.

There are 2 bedrooms with kingsize beds and one twin bed bedroom.There are 2 bedrooms upstairs one with kingsize bed and the other with twin beds (both with ensuite shower rooms) The 3rd bedroom is on the ground floor. It has a kingsize bed (and ensuite shower room) and is suitable for guests with limited mobility.
All are furnished to a high standard with very comfortable beds and high quality duvets and pillows (natural feather and down). Let us know if you prefer synthetic duvets and pillows.
There are 3 ensuite shower rooms with wc. They are fully tiled with high quality fixtures including multijet showers.
Free WI-FI, wall mounted TV,English and French Freeview channels, DVD player.
There is small selection of books (if you haven't finished reading a book, then please take it home. Simply replace it with another book - thanks!) and DVD's. Games and cards are available on request.
The gite has its own private garden. There is seating for six and sunbeds. Barbeques are available on request (charcoal provided). There is a large communal garden with trampoline, swing ball and toys.
The games room is situated in an ancient barn where you can enjoy ping pong and pool.
Paddling pools available on request (parental responsibility).
The views are amazing and there is a further 3 acres of parkland for you to enjoy.
Each gite has its own allocated safe,off road parking.
The gite is suitable for all - families (we welcome babies and children), friends, groups and couples. It also caters for guests with limited mobility, with a downstairs bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
We provide evening meals on request (24 hours notice). There is no menu but fresh, organic and local products are used where possible, pot luck! but good quality, and very tasty! . Childrens meals are also available. Your meal is served in your gite (or on the patio) and all crockery and cutlery etc is provided - so no washing up!

Amoripark, Begard (20 minutes). A fun day out for all the family! Includes a small zoo, pedalo boating. Fantastic indoor/outdoor swimming with water slides, mini golf, football, bouncy castles etc. etc. Lots of places to have a picnic and a bistro/bar onsite. (note: when using public swimming pools no Bermuda shorts are allowed! Tight fitting costumes must be warn apparently for hygiene purposes!)
Beaches Explore the Pink Granite Coast (25 minutes). The amazing rock formations (best seen at sunset when they all glow pink), sandy beaches and private coves coupled with fabulous cliff walks make a lovely day out. One of our favourite beaches is Port Blanc (20 minutes) near Penvenon. Gorgeous sandy beach, great swimming and stunning rocks.
Breton Country Dancing and Music - Treguier. Held every Wednesday evening in the main square. A real experience where you can join in or sit with a tasse de cidre (cup of cider) and enjoy the proceedings. Starts about 9pm. This is just a taste of what is on offer in the local vicinity, please ask if there is something you would like to do and we will do our best to help.
Set in beautiful grounds this ancient chateau is worth a visit. A great place for a picnic in the lovely grounds and also has an itinerary of activities, including music festivals and traditional Breton dancing throughout the summer.
There are lots of good places to eat nearby. Pontrieux has a very good pizza restaurant and a bistro serving traditional galettes and crepes. Both reasonably priced. Fine dining can be found at la Ville Blanche on the way to Lannion. For fantastic fish restaurants try Paimpol port.
Fishing - A permit to fish the river Trieux can be obtained from the harbour Master at the quay in Pontrieux.
Golf - Golf de Begard (20 minutes) Lieu-dit Koulz Bihan, 22140 Begard. Nine holes for all handicaps. Well kept and friendly. Offers equipment hire, billiards, clubhouse with bar.
Kayaking can be found at Club Nautique Pontrivien on the quay at Pontrieux.
Treguier has a bustling market, held every Wednesday morning, selling everything from clothes to food - worth a visit. Why not enjoy lunch after the market on the main square overlooking the cathedral.

The Tourist Office in Pontrieux is worth a visit (if only to admire the beautiful medieval building!).
Walking - there are many approved routes for all levels. Organised walks are also available and can be booked according to the dates you are staying. Please let us know if you are interested.
