A jewel of a town, with an unspoilt historic centre and pretty port area to explore. You can easily reach Dinan in about 12 minutes by car, and explore the old town, or enjoy the river Rance and port area.
You can reach several sandy family beaches in about 15 minutes - we like the beaches at St Jacut de la Mer, Lancieux and St Enogat
A short drive will bring you to the elegant seaside town of Dinard, where you can enjoy the sandy beaches or walk along the coastal footpath and enjoy some beautiful views of the coast.
The town itself is well worth exploring, and you can sample some traditional French cuisine at one of the town's many good restaurants.
There is also a passenger ferry link across the Rance to the walled corsair town of St Malo.
The cottage was much bigger than we expected and the rural setting was wonderful.
We arrived a little early and Eileen the caretaker was there just finishing the cleaning.
She was most helpful.
The heating upstairs was great but downstairs the radiators where cold, we contacted Eileen and she promptly came over and supplied an electric heater.
The house is very well equipped and we especially liked the kitchen.
Location is excellent with most places like St Malo and Mon St Michel about 30 mins away. We also really enjoyed visiting Dinan and Josselin.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
I dealt with Jeremy Stark throughout the booking and he was very helpful and our damage deposit was returned in less than a week.
Property very accurately advertised, very comfortable for our party of seven. Particularly appreciated the wonderful garden, including the ping-pong!
We found the description was very accurate. The cottage was one of the best we have stayed in. It was very well equipped, very clean and highly maintained. The owner provided a very detailed brochure of beaches, walks and places of interest. All in all a very good holiday and I would definitely
recommend this property to family and friends.
We had an amazing holiday at Le Bois Hannelais. The cottage was really beautiful with a comfy feel. We all commented that it felt like home. The cottage had everything we needed, the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and large in size. It was clean and the garden was gorgeous.
The surrounding area and specifically the town of Dinan were amazing. The town is so beautiful and we had 3 meals out in the town at various restaurants. The beach at Dinard and St Malo were exquisite.
We would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and will consider booking the cottage again in the future for ourselves.
