Fantastic property in a secluded location in Brittany. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and were very impressed with the warmth & kindness of Martine Eggleton. The welcome pack including crepes & wonderful French wine was appreciated greatly. Would come back here again especially if the weather was a good as it was during our stay. Thank you Martine, we all wish you well. Merci.

We had a great stay in Martine's house. It was exactly as described and was a wonderful base from which to visit the whole area. The property is set down a very quiet lane in the centre of the village of L'Hopital. It has a small wood running adjacent to it and was completely private with a great south facing garden. We found the house was equipped with all we needed with an excellent internet service and comfortable beds. The village itself is very quiet and has good connections to all the main routes.

On our arrival we had a very warm welcome from Martine and a kind offer of a cup of tea. She provided a wonderful welcome pack which was more than generous and for which we were very grateful. All communication with her was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

The town of Saint Briuec is only around 15 minutes by car, where there are all the usual large supermarkets and shops. The beach is only 20 minutes and so many other little coastal resorts all within easy reach. We would really recommend a visit to Dinan, a beautiful medieval town with a magnificent viaduct and pretty port area by the river, with plenty of restaurants

We would have no hesitation in staying again in this property if we were to return in the future

This is easily the best holiday cottage in France that we have stayed in. The photos on the web site are exactly what you get when you're actually there. Martine (the very proud owner) has given the house a modern decor with quality furnishings and fittings, with plenty of room to store your belongings. The kitchen is set out to satisfy the most demanding of holiday chefs and the south-facing garden, with two large tables and chairs, as well as additional sun-loungers, is a veritable sun-trap. The whole place was very clean with a very well-maintained garden.

The wi-fi reception is very good with speeds of nearly 20mb and there is a land-line phone, should you wish to contact Martine during your stay. Martine is very keen to make sure you enjoy your holiday but does not interfere.

Pléneuf-Val-André, on the coast, is only half an hour's drive away and La Croisette restaurant, right by the sea, is definitely recommended for good food and service. It's a little higher up the scale than the usual crêpes/galettes restaurant that are everywhere, if you want to treat yourself.

If you want a peaceful holiday, in a superb house, in a very quiet village and not too far from the sea, then I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

My only complaint - the birds were very noisy in the mornings!
