Explore Medieval Dinan

The unspoilt medieval town of Dinan is very close - about 10 minutes by car. The town has a warren of cobbled streets with some good shops and artists/craftsmens workshops. You can walk around the town walls, visit the castle or sit at a pavement café enjoying a drink. The steep cobble Jerzual street takes you down to the pretty port area, where you can hire a boat to explore the river or a bike and cycle along the river into the countryside.

Sandy Beaches on the North coast

There are a good number of sandy beaches on the north coast, the two nearest are at Lancieux or St Jacut de la Mer, both are about 25 minutes drive from the house. Lancieux is a wide gently shelving sandy beach, there is a windsurfing school on the beach. St Jacut is a peninsula with 11 sandy beaches dotted around the headland, all linked by a coastal footpath. There's a number of cafés and restaurants so you can relax with a drink and or snack.
