The barn has been renovated to a very high standard and is situated in a tranquil rural location, yet within 5 minutes drive of large supermarkets, banks, restaurants, etc. Lac de Guerledan, the 8 mile long lake with it's many safe and sandy beaches and the Nantes to Brest Canal are just a short drive away. Both of these offer many sporting activities such as horse riding, water skiing, canoeing and cycling.
The cottage has been designed to accommodate families with children of all ages with a private and safe garden to play in. The pool is heated with a solar system and a heat pump. Altogether an ideal base for exploring Central Brittany as virtually every tourist attraction is within an hours easy travelling distance.
Please note that this cottage has a Sunday changeover day, thus enabling you to benefit from reduced ferry prices and more availability during the summer letting season.
The kitchen has a good range of floor and wall units in a shaker style with an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven. There is a gas hob unit and large separate fridge-freezer. Also included is a microwave, coffee-maker, toaster and kettle. The cottage is equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday.
The lounge area is furnished with 2 comfortable leather sofas and matching pine furniture. There is a 40 inch flat screen lcd television with English tv along with a video and dvd player. Plenty of toys for younger children and books/board games for all ages. The cottage has wi-fi.
Bedroom 1 has a pine king size double bed with matching wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table.
Bedroom 2 has twin pine beds with matching chest of drawers and bed side cabinets.
Fully tiled bathroom with bath and overhead body massage shower, sink and wc.
The cottage has electric heating throughout.
The swimming pool is approximately 28 foot long and 12 foot wide and is heated with a heat pump and solar system so it can be kept at a regular temperature. The swimming pool is only shared with ourselves and we have 2 boys aged 13 and 21 who will tend to only use the pool when guests are out. We do try and give anybody staying at the cottage sole use of the pool during their holiday. The wooden pool decking is at pool level and there is ample sunloungers, a set of table and chairs and sun umbrellas. We have provided a charcoal barbecue for guests use.
The remaining part of the garden has been laid to lawn for children to play, and you will find some outside games in the cottage.
Pool is open from end of May till mid September.
The barn has it's own separate driveway and parking with the garden mainly lawns for children to play. As we are situated in a quiet area you can walk safely from the barn along the country roads where you will often see deer and a multitude of other wildlife
The cottage has its own private access and parking.

David and I moved to Brittany 16 years ago and we have two sons who are now 20 and 12, we have been renting out holiday cottages for 14 years.
8 mile long with sandy beaches, ideal for walking, cycling and water sports.
Wow, what a find ! Such an idyllic cottage in a superb location, everything you will ever need is provided in the cottage including toys for our toddler. The swimming pool was great, warm, clean and being fenced off was safe for our toddler. Lots to do in the area, 4 supermarkets within an easy drive, lots of good restaurants, a lunch time meal will cost you £10 including a drink and home cooked too ! Bike hire in the local village on the canal was great fun, even had electric bikes to hire.
David and Vanessa were great hosts, nothing was ever too much trouble,
We will return next year and will recommend the cottage to friends and family.
Fantastic weeks stay in June here. The cottage was immaculate with all of the amenities we could have wished for. The setting deep in the heart of Brittany is idyllic for those who like the quieter side of life. The central location does mean you have to drive a fair way to get to the coast but being central you can take your pick of north or south Brittany.
Overall great value for money and our hosts were really helpful to us as first time visitors to Brittany, recommending great places to see and things to do. Highly recommended!
