The unspoilt medieval town of Dinan can be reached in about 20 minutes by car, and is well worth exploring. You'll find an impressive castle, high town walls, and lots of shops and restaurants set on cobbled streets. The steep Jerzual cobbled street leads down to the port, where you can hire a boat to explore the river, or a bike and cycle along the river.
The pretty market town of Jugon Les Lacs can be reached in about 5 minutes. The town squares hosts a weekly market, and here you'll find a good restaurant, bakery, café and a small shop. The lake itself draw visitors and locals, and there are good fishing facilities. The lake has a fishing centre where you can buy a fishing permit and hire equipment. You can also hire boats and mountain bikes here, and there is a heated outdoor swimming pool. There are numerous paths leading out to explore the peaceful countryside.
What a beautiful house and garden. A credit to the owners. The house was so clean, very well equipped, maintained and furnished to a very high standard. The ground floor bedroom extremely handy for my elderly parents and the conservatory was an added bonus.
This house felt like home. We were really happy there and hoping to return.
Megrit is such a lovely little quiet village with a handy boulangerie. The only downside to our holidays, was that we only booked for 1 week.
I would certainly recommend this house.
