A Spacious First Floor Apartment. This apartment is in a coastal village setting.

A spacious and comfortable first floor apartment situated in a quiet rural location, yet less than ten minutes away from the glorious Brittany coastline. The perfect base from which to explore the charm of the region or simply soak up the delights of sun, sea and surf. This former farmhouse offers light and airy accommodation combined with modern day convenience, the terrace with countryside views is perfect for an outdoor breakfast or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening.

The self-contained apartment has private guest access from the ground floor. The double fronted living space combines a spacious lounge with kitchen diner area.

Two large bedrooms provide facilities to sleep 4 or 5 people. Bedroom 1 - double room with option for a third single bed and/or cot if required. Bedroom 2 - twin/double room

A shower room with a generously-sized shower, handbasin and wc and second separate wc with handbasin.  

The sunterrace, for guests exclusive use, is accessible from the main stairs and bedroom 1 via the french windows, it is south facing with a countryside view. Dining table, chairs and barbecue facilities available. 

There is shared off-road secure parking for up to five vehicles and undercover storage for bicycles should guests bring them. Meet and greet on arrival, the owner is on hand to provide assistance with any problems / language difficulties if required. A list of recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try is available. You will arrive to freshly made beds, a welcome pack which includes a few fresh items to get you started for the first day and help if needed to find your way around the area.

Essential supplies are available from well stocked supermarkets at Plancoët just 5 kms away. The local boulangerie bakes daily for a fresh supply of baguettes, breakfast croissants and pain au chocolat.

Cyclists - A pick up and drop off service is offered from Lamballe station or Saint Malo port, please enquire for further details.

Available for 2016 – Fuzzy Felts – A Rainy Day Workshop (on site) - bookable in advance or on the day (subject to availability) – suitable for children of all ages, adults included. Materials provided. For further details please don’t hesitate to enquire.

The apartment is fully double-glazed and centrally heated, so an out of season break to take advantage of the region outside of the summer holiday period ensures a cosy stay.



Kitchen and dining

Fully-fitted kitchen with beech work surfaces and generous breakfast bar (seats 5 comfortably). Electric oven and hob. Additional electrical appliances eg microwave, washing machine etc. Dining table to seat 6, a highchair is available on request.

Living rooms

Large spacious south facing living area, including lounge and kitchen diner. English and French language tv available, as well as wi-fi and dvd player.


Bedroom 1 - Double room, with ample space for an additional single bed and/or cot if required. Access to terrace via french windows.

Bedroom 2 - Twin room, south facing.

The terrace is for guests exclusive use, there is access to the terrace from the main stairs of the apartment as well as from bedroom 1.

Linen is provided (hypoallergenic pillows and duvets) including towels but not beach towels. Summer duvets 11 tog, winter duvets 13.5 tog.

Activities and places to visit are numerous, from the historic medieval towns of Dinan, Saint Malo, Moncontour and the famous Mont Saint Michel to the delightful town of Jugon les Lacs with its sailing and canoeing complex. The beaches at Saint Cast and Pen Guen are not to be missed. Fort la Latte and the spectacular headland of Cap Frehel are popular with visitors, as well as tours around the Chateau de la Hunaudaye.

A wealth of restaurants offering quality dining including seafood and regional specialites are within easy driving distance of the apartment and provide the ideal opportunity to sample Breton hospitality.

Adventure parks and aqua sports on the coast and inland around Jugon les Lacs cater for the adventure seeker. Close by 5km there is the forest de la Hunaudaye and Saint Aubin, over 3000 hectares in total, with numerous voies vertes (green paths), a must for ramblers and cyclists to explore.

A day trip to Jersey by ferry is easy and low cost from St Malo.

Cap Fréhel / Fort La Latte

A granite headland with spectacular seascapes, and the historic monument fort perched on the edge of the cliffs. For breathtaking views and virtigous descents to the sea.


Historic mediaeval town with a thriving Thursday am market, lots of boutique little shops. A walk down to the old port will take you back in time through the cobbled streets and leave you needing a coffe, to be taken at one of the numerous riverside cafés. Come back in the evening for a good meal or plan a river boat trip along the rance. There is something for everyone.

Jugon Les Lacs

Watersports, aqua fun parc, small market on a fri am, lakeside trails for walking and cycling.

Mont Saint Michel

A must for all visotors to the region, can be a little busy at times so best to visit early.

The beach!

of which there are many, from Saint Briac, Saint Lunaire,, Saint Jacut, Saint Cast, along the coast as far as Sable d'Or and Erquy, each with their own charm and golden sands. You can always find a beach side café or restaurnt to sit, soak up the sun and indulge in excellent cuisine. Owner recommendations of the best places to eat for those who book.

There was a warm welcome from Sheila, who was very accommodating with our early arrival time.
The provisions were very welcome and generous.The fresh flowers were a lovely touch.
What a lovely homely base to explore this beautiful region of France.
We would highly recommend this apartment and hope to revisit in the future.

We spent a very comfortable week with Sheila at Les Camélias. The property is as described and we found it to be just what we needed.Sheila could not have been more helpful and welcoming.The location of the accommodation is perfect to explore the local surrounding towns & villages and not too far away from the main roads which link to the larger cities in the region. For us the proximity to St Malo and the ferry was perfect with a quick in/out on turnover day.The accommodation offers excellent value for money and its rural location is perfect for a quiet getaway.
