About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Andy Wright

Le Cosquer has been my home for the last 5 years and I just love the slow pace of life.<br/>We brought the beautiful property 5 years ago and I haven't stopped improving it. This year the swimming pool has been refurbished and we are constantly adding things to Le Cosquer to make your holiday enjoyable.

Year property purchased 2009
Why this location? Peaceful but near to places you can visit. Although not on the coast we are only an hours drive either way. We also have the bonus of the beautiful lake just a 10 minute drive away.
Unique benefits of property We have a swimming pool and barn that we use as the games room. We found our own children loved to mix with others whilst on holiday and so having the 5 properties Le Cosquer becomes alive with happy children and so happy parents.

The Owner Recommends

Lac de Guerledan

Man made lake with a beach just a 10 minute drive away. Suitable for swimming fishing and plenty of activities around the lake.

To enjoy this gite you really need to love the French countryside. It is located some distance form local shops and towns, but that is part of the charm and it is very quiet. There are several farms in the immediate area which bring attendant bonuses and issues.
This property is one of others at the same location sharing a lovely well maintained pool, so it would be suitable for larger family/friends groups.
The owner who lives on site is knowledgable about the surrounding area and made good recommendations about local restaurants and trips worth doing. He was also very quick to make effect any maintenance necessary.
Inland Brittany has a charm all of its own, and although both the north and south coasts are about an 70 to 90 minutes drive away, the immediate vicinity has more than enough attractions to occupy visitors, with the Lac de Guerledan being the star attraction. At the lake there are enough watersports to occupy even the most ardent enthusiasts, and when tired of that there are lovely walking paths around the southern side of the lake to keep one active.
We enjoyed a lovely holiday, our only regret was that a week was not long enough.
