On the right hand side is the artists studio,a first floor apartment separated from the main house. It has a fully fitted kitchen, sitting area with flat screen tv from UK, a double bedroom en suite and dressing room which is very popular with the senior members of the family! The main house has two huge living rooms, with indoor dining for twelve, and HD tv, inc Netflix and wi-fi.
It has a vast living area of approx 6000 sq.ft and is full of antiques; artifacts and delightful furnishings.
The property forms 3 sides of a central garden courtyard, with patio doors opening onto a spacious paved patio with bbq and furniture for outside dining.
The 10x5m swimming pool is situated in a secure, secluded garden. It has the benefit of a massive, modern heat pump which will maintain temp at 28 - 30C whatever the weather.  South facing, it enjoys sun throughout the day.
The villages of Le Gouray and Collinee are about 2 miles away, both with shops, bars, bakeries and Post Offices.
The coast is approx 30 mins drive.


Airports: Dinard (Ryanair) 40 mins drive. Rennes (Flybe) 50 mins drive. Both airports offer car hire facilities.

Ports: St Malo (Brittany Ferries and Condor) 50 mins drive. Caen (Brittany Ferries) 2hrs, 15mins Roscoff (Brittany Ferries) 1.5 hours. Le Harvre (LD Lines) 2.5 hours. You should allow 7 hours if choosing the tunnel.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Michael Richardson

The property is available to rent during the summer season (end May - mid Sept) . We are so pleased that it has proved so popular ,both with guests from the UK. and much further afield. It is amazing to reflect that over 1500 people have enjoyed a holiday here,and since everyone seemed very happy, we are proud of that. We came from a catering background before we retired, so like to think that we run a good ship!

Why this location? A lovely part of the countryside for privacy and relaxation, but also a great base to explore the abundance of towns throughout the Cotes d'Armor region including Dinan, Moncontour, Dinard, Jugon Les Lacs the Emerald coast with ample beaches etc

Beaches and Fishing

Coast/Beach: The nearest sandy beach on the North Coast of Brittany is Pleneuf Val -Andre. This small town has shops and restaurants and a Casino. It is about 30 minutes drive. Along the same coast there are numerous other beaches and magnificent coastlines.Off shore fishing is available from here.3 hour trip, 60 euros per rod.


Dinan, with its medieval centre; ramparts and historic port is always a favorite visit, with a large selection of restaurants and shops.

Jugon Les Lacs

There is a huge lake (Jugon-les-Lacs) just a 10 minute drive away from the property. There are splendid facilities here,especially for youngsters to learn to sail, plus canoes, pedaloes etc. VTT trails also available


Lamballe is a small town with a good range of shops; bars and restaurants and a weekly outdoor market. There is also a magnificent historic Haras (Horse stud) open to the public, with displays every Thursday in the summer.

What can I say. From the online photos we knew the property was going to be lovely, It completely lived up to our expectations and was even better.

The owner gave us a tour of the accommodation, was friendly, helpful and was at the end of the telephone if we needed any help.

The property was clean and well presented and the beautiful antiques and furniture made it a relaxing cosy environment.

There was so much to entertain us that we didn't need to go out, except to stock up on food.The local shop was about 10 minutes away and provided the basics. We stocked up at a supermarket before we arrived.

The setting was beautiful and we made good use of the pool.

Excellent holiday. Thank you Mr. Richardson from all of us. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home to friends and relatives.
