|Why this location?||It is a beautiful spot, close to the beautiful unspoilt beaches, close to medieval Dinan and also easy for all transport - air, road, rail and ferry even though we live in a quiet country hamlet.|
|Unique benefits of property||We restored the cottage from scratch, wanting to keep all the character of the house such as exposed beams, natural stone, fireplace but provide all the comforts of modern living - well placed for a huge range of activities and close to so many super places to visit but peaceful with plenty of outdoors space.|
Nearby at Plancoet
At least ten good golf courses within a short drive, from Pleneuf Val André to Dinard on the coast and inland.
at nearby Créhen for all ages and abilities
Fantastic trips by hot air balloon over the Rance estuary to the coast and countryside - spectacular!
Courses at Lamballe and La Gousnière.
In the Bay of Mont St Michel - great fun for all ages.
From country pathways starting from our gîte to coastal walks, take the tidal causeway to explore the Isle des Hébihens, woodland walks to the nearby Chateau de Montafilan, where to start - or stop!
We really enjoyed our July stay here-the cottage has been beautifully renovated, with a real feeling of luxury upstairs in particular.Lots of storage space to use.Immaculately clean.
Very thoughtful provisions of extra items in kitchen (picnicware, herbs & spices, foil etc.)all helped to make for a relaxed & easy holiday.Large selection & variety of books & games for all ages.--Absolutely no loss of privacy with owners next door in the building--but at the same time they couldn't have been more helpful--(We arrived very early (having mistaken entry time), & Gillian was kind enough to allow us in--but please don't take that as setting a precedent!!!
--Lovely grounds, & walks from the door.-Quiet neighbourhood (end of a small cul de sac in a small hamlet). Lots of unusual bird activity to watch (including nesting kestrels in next door's eaves!)--Lovely quiet & clean & batheable beaches in fairly easy reach--especially at Saint Jacut de la mer & Saint Briac sur mer. Shopping for food needs to be planned as no really nearby "corner shops" or Supermarkets.
Hope to return sometime in the not too distant future (maybe when the middle section of the long-house has been finished to give the option of a larger family group staying-I'm sure our family would love it here!)--Thank you Gillian!
Glad to hear you enjoyed our holiday cottage and the local area and for such a super report - we hope too to get the other part of the house completed to welcome larger family groups! We like to watch the kestrels too - especially when they teach the babies to fly!
We hope to be able to welcome you back anytime

A very comfortable holiday cottage in a peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Lovely cottage in an ideal situation - clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated. The owners were welcoming and close by if needed but otherwise left is to our privacy.Quiet location but close to the beaches and to Dinan - not to be missed! Town nearby with all shops and services, lovely country views from the house. We wouldn't hesitate to re book.
Super stay in this pretty cottage, well placed and close to the coast, Dinan, saint Malo and Dinard. The property was clean and well presented, a lovely restored stone house with country views. Plenty to do nearby, supermarkets and market in the nearby town of Plancoet, nice pastries in the local bakery. The owners were friendly and we shall certainly recommend the property to friends.
