Delightful, detached traditional 'longere' newly-renovated in a peaceful, rural location at the end of a lane with stunning views across fields. On the edge of a small hamlet, but less than a 10 minute walk from Lanvollon, where you'll find excellent bars, restaurants, bakers, banks, a supermarket and petrol station.
The house is about a 15 minute drive to the nearest beach at Plouha. Other delightful seaside towns with sandy beaches, swimming pools, fishing ports, cafes and restaurants include Paimpol (18 mins), Saint Quay Portrieux (20 mins) and Binic (22 mins). Other local attractions include the car-free island of Ile-de-Brehat. Younger visitors will love Armoripark Amusement Park (30 mins), Le Village Gaulois and the Zoo at Tregomeur (15 mins). There are 3 local golf courses and for cyclists, a network of well-signed local VTT (mountain bike) trails pass within 100m of the house.
Prices include all central heating, electric and water. All bed linen and towels are provided (there is a £40/week charge towards laundry/cleaning costs). No pets or smoking in the house.
We are very flexible on arrival/departure dates and duration - please don't hesitate to enquire.

Overall, what a great property!
We have stayed in France several times and this gite is one of the best.
Location is great if you want rural, being the last property at the end of a lane which leads to open fields there is no passing traffic so it is both safe and quiet with lovely views over open fields.
Facilities are good with all mod cons including a dishwasher and washing machine so you could even pack less if you want to wash stuff while you are there. We did as we were there for 2 weeks. TV gives all english channels which is great for when the kids get bored. Oh, and the proper pub pool table was great, my 11 year old can beat me now! I think the only improvements i would say that could be made is the addition of Wifi as there is none but sometimes its good to get away from it and there isnt really any useable garden at the moment which is a shame as there is around an acre of land around this property!
Lanvollon town is about 3 minutes in the car for various shops including a mini mart, a few bars and restaurants and even a kebab shop and a popular pizzeria and of course the obligatory boulangerie. Although i would say that the boulangerie on the outskirts of the village is the better of the 2. There is also a Super U supermarket for your 'big shop' when you get there.
Overall location wise you will be around 20 mins from the nearest beeches and there are lots and we didnt visit a bad one. Most had lifeguards as well which was extra piece of mind.
Property was just as described. very quite location but well placed for visiting surrounding towns and coast. easy 4hr drive from caen, no tolls. nicely equipped and fitted out but only freezer was top box of 2nd undercounter fridge but that was not an issue with us. lovely warm quite retreat, good TV reception with British cannels for keeping in touch. well recommended
Excellent location, rural, with village/ town nearby with large supermarket and local bars and shop with patisserie. Accommodation has good beds for larger families, large kitchen diner and quality pool room. Freeview but no WIFI but that is available free in bars and supermarket. Good beaches and seafront restaurants within 20 minutes drive.
