|Why this location?||Maël-Carhaix, is located in the heart of Central Brittany in the south west corner of Côtes D'Armor and borders with Finistère département. This small village has many assets, notably the wonderful site of the Etang des Sources, which is located 1km from La Roscoat. The 'Water Gardens' as it is also known, has a small man made beach and play park, toilets and a café which operates in the summer months. The lake is well stocked with coarse fish and is ideal for the fishers amongst you. Around the lake is a network of paths ideal for hiking. Paths are suitable for wheelchair use. Away from the water gardens there are many signposted paths including the Greenway, through the green, rolling Breton countryside where you will be able to experience the season's agricultural activities for yourself.
The village centre is dominated by the 12th century church and a recently restored Mairie which provides services for the 1600 inhabitants.
