About this property

Ty KENA is a Traditional Breton Longere. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Ty KENA is a traditional Breton Longere that has been converted into 3 traditional, self contained 2 bedroomed open plan gites. Set in its own private grounds of almost two acres, within the small peaceful farming hamlet of Lemoire, surrounded by woods and fields, this is the ideal base to explore all that Brittany has to offer.

For families with children, beautiful sandy beaches with bars, restaurants and water sports are within a 10 minute drive at the Lac du Guerledan, or the North Coast, a 45 minute drive and the South Coast, around an hour.

Nearby are many safe cycle and walking tracks, and the towpath of the Nantes/Brest canal offers flat safe cycling and walking for families with small children.

Brittany has many prehistoric sites, medieval towns and villages, ancient ruins and chateaux to explore, as well as 20th Century historical places of interest and museums, not to mention the local markets, festivals, and restaurants to discover.

After a busy day, Ty KENA is the ideal location to chill, whether your ideal is to find a sheltered spot in the garden to relax and read a book, or sunbathing on the paddock. If you prefer something more energetic, badminton and supervised archery is available, whilst the children can play to their hearts content on the enclosed paddock.

Supermarkets with 24 hour fuel, and 24 hour banking are available in Uzel and Mur de Bretagne, both approx 8km from Ty KENA.

The port of Roscoff is only a 1 hr 45 mins drive away, and St Malo is 1 hr 30 mins.

We operate a no smoking indoor policy.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Alan Fortuin

Ty KENA was our holiday home, however in March 2016 we took early retirement and decided to move full time to France. This has proved to be one of the best decisions that we have ever made, it removed us from the Rat Race that is the UK 2016, and transported us to an age gone by that was the UK 1966, surrounded by beautiful Breton Countryside and neighbours who are neighbours and friends who are friends,
