About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Elizabeth Lynes

We are English and moved to France in February 2017. We ran a successful B&B in Somerset (England) for a few years and decided to have an adventure by moving to France to enjoy a different and more relaxed lifestyle. Our holiday apartment is next to our home, so we are always on hand to offer help and advice if needed. We like to explore the area and so are always finding places to recommend.

Year property purchased 2016
Why this location? It is peaceful, there is an amazing view over a valley and it is centrally placed for exploring Brittany and its rural, historical, cultural and coastal sites. We are conveniently positioned for the ferries being only 1 hour from Roscoff and 1.5 hours from St Malo. The coast is 40 minutes away, with a rugged coastline similar to Cornwall. There are many weekly markets to visit in the nearby towns.
Unique benefits of property The view!!! The large decking terrace solely for your use, you can also relax in our garden under the dappled shade of our trees. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchenette, including a washing machine. We are only next door so we are available to assist if needed.

The Owner Recommends

Valley of the Saints

An amazing collection of statues of Celtic saints, new ones added each year, representing the Saints who came to Brittany from Ireland and Cornwall, the site covers several acres and sometimes you can see the sculpters at work. The site and parking is free, there is a gift shop where you can make donations. The valley is open 365 days a year.

Musée de la Résistance en Argoat, L'Etang Neuf

A really interesting place to visit for lovers of 'Alo 'Alo. It gives you a real insight into the struggles and the life the locals had to endure and the risks they took during WW2.

Local Markets

There are various markets in the local area: Tuesday morning Quintin (20 mins)
Thursday morning Binic (30 mins) Friday morning Guingamp (20 mins)
Further afield there is a large market Thursday morning at Dinan (1 hour) which is a beautiful town and is well worth a visit any day of the week.

Lac Guerlédân

45 mins away is a beautiful lake on the boarder of Cotes d'Amor and Morbihan. There are various places to eat at the lakeside, and watersports to enjoy.

Abbaye de Bon Repos

At the end of Lac Guerlédân is a living museum which takes you back in time. There is also a sound and light display during the summer. Well worth a visit.

Brittany Coast

The Brittany coast line is rugged and spectacular, with hidden coves and secluded beaches.
