Beautiful Farmhouse for a Wonderful Family Holiday. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

THERE ARE STILL DATES AVAILABLE IN JULY AND AUGUST

Traditional Breton stone farmhouse, full of character, sleeps up to 7. Set in the peaceful rural village of Langouhedre. Close to Dinard airport (29miles) and the port of S Malo (38miles) allowing you to save time and make the most of your holiday. Close to two of the major routes N12 and the N176 making it quick and easy to explore the very beautiful Brittany. The many well-known and stunning beaches of the north coast such as St Cast St Jacut, Erquay and Pleneuf Val Andre are around 35 mins away. Dinan the beautiful historic walled medieval cite is just 20 miles away and there are lots of other wonderful places to see locally and afar. Nearby, Jugon les Lacs (4 miles) and Plenee Jugon (2 miles) have all the amenities you are likely to need such as supermarkets, banks, doctors, dentists, boulangeries and bars as well as fantastic activities such as sailing, swimming pool, lake side park, boules etc. This is a comfortable child friendly, home from home.

Sean is our Property Manager and he looks after the house and the reservations and will try to ensure that you have a wonderful, trouble free holiday in our beautiful French home.

Kitchen and dining

Large fully fitted and well equipped kitchen diner with all the necessary appliances, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, iron and a corkscrew etc. There are traditional beamed ceilings and stone walls. There is a large dining room table seating 8, with a ceiling fan above. There is a folder in the kitchen with brochures of all the nearby activities and details of market days etc.

Living rooms

Spacious living room, full of character with wood burning stove, beams and ceiling fan. There is comfortable seating for 8.

The living room is equipped with tv, dvd player, hi-fi and indoor games for all ages. There are also plenty of books for you and your children to read during your stay.

Please note that we do not have wi-fi, however, we’ve always managed to run our devises on roaming internet which is now for most contracts at no extra cost.

Bedrooms

Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 singles and the master bedroom also has a double and a single. All rooms have vaulted ceilings, dressing tables, wardrobes and fans.

Bathrooms

There is a well equipped family bathroom with a shower.

Electric heating and a wood burning stove.

Entertainment

Just 5 mins from the property is the quaint little village of Jugon Les Lacs. There are restaurants, bars, a Carrefour supermarket, boulangerie, charcuterie, vets, doctors, dentists, banks and all the other local amenities you are likely to need.

Jugon les Lacs has a huge lake where you can hire sail boats, pedalo’s and canoes, it also is a wonderful walk around it. There is a boules area and a wonderful lakeside park, perfect for picnics. The village also boasts a fabulous outdoor and indoor lakeside pool, with bouncy castles if your children have any energy left. There is also a lakeside café for you to relax with a coffee and ice cream or cake if you fancy.

Garden and outside

There is a large private courtyard to the front of the property for relaxing and playing games and off road parking for cars.

There is a bbq, outside seating, and outdoor games for your use during your stay at the house.

Just 3 kms away from the house is the Wake park in Dolo. This is an amazing water ski park where you can knee board, water ski and if you’re feeling daring, mono ski the many jumps they have, the park has a waterside restaurant offering the best pizza's ever!

Parking and garages

There is a large private courtyard to the front of the property for off road car parking.

Visitor suitability

Suitable for all but sadly not for wheelchair users or people who have difficulty on stairs as there are stairs to go to the first floor.

Information about any additional facilities

The gite is very well located for touring the local area and further afield, with something different to do each day. You can visit Dinan, Dinard, St Malo, the zoo at La Bourbonsais, a historic farm in a nearby village and go kayaking on the lake at Jugon. Water skiing in the wake park in Dolo is just 3 kms away. I will list a few other activities but there are many others which will appeal, I strongly suggest a visit to the local Tourism Office in Jugon les lacs and a google search is definitely recommended.

In no particular order.... ice skating in St Brieuc, ten pin bowling in St Brieuc and Dinan. swimming in Jugon les Lacs, St Brieuc, Lamballe and Dinan. There are zoos and activity parks such as Bourbonsais and Cobac park. There's an Aquarium in St Malo. Goape-Indian trial. Go karting in Lamballe. Sand yachting on the north coast paragliding paintballing, windsurfing etc etc.

Why this location? After 15yrs of fabulous family holidays we believe we have the perfect holiday destination for adults and children and would like to share our home with you. It is a fabulous place to unwind and explore beautiful Brittany.

We chose this house because of its wonderful location, it has easy access to 2 of the major routes through Brittany, the N176 and the N12, making it so simple to reach all the fantastic attractions and towns, such as Quimper,Rennes and Dinan etc. The many well-known and stunning beaches of the north coast such as St Cast, St Jacut, Erquy and Pleneuf Val Andre are around 35 mins away. Only 2 miles away is the small village of Dolo where there is an amazing water ski park, you can knee board, water ski and if you’re feeling daring, mono ski the many jumps they have, the park has a waterside restaurant offering the best pizza's ever!

There are loads of places to visit as well as indulging in sporting activities and the location of our house makes it simple and easy to get there.

Another google search and a visit to the tourism office in Jugon (also available on google) is recommended.

There are numerous castles, historical monuments and beautiful country Chateaus to visit. Chateau Hunaudaye surely worth a visit. There are also always plenty of local fete’s offering food and traditional Breton activities, and the local markets offer a splendid opportunity to try local delicacies at very reasonable prices.
