About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Shona Thompson

Having spent many holidays in France as a family over the last 30 years, we decided to make the move permanently to France early in 2018 to set up our gites for rental to holidaymakers. We have tried to use our experience as guests to provide our guest with everything they would like. We hope everyone will come to love the area as much as us !

Year property purchased 2018
Why this location? We found our property to be perfect for us, given it's rural location but within a short drive of local amenities. Central Brittany seemed to be a great place to live due to the variety of places to reach and visit within a 1 hr drive
Unique benefits of property "The Cairns at Le Gouelou" consists of Cairn House, a 16th Century, 4 bedroom farmhouse which has been carefully restored whilst retaining a wealth of features including a circular stone staircase, granite fireplace, original oak beams and flagstone floors.

The 2 adjoining gites - 1 bedroom Cairn Cottage and 3 bedroom Cairn Lodge have been sympathetically upgraded to reflect the character of Cairn House.
