Le Pretre is one of 2 adjoining family and pet friendly cottages. The cottages are situated within the one acre walled garden of a former presbytery, which is where the owners live. Le Presbytere and the cottages are right in the centre of a small, quiet Breton village called Treverec and are behind the church with its impressive belfry.
Le Pretre and Le Cure are a similar size and have the same equipment and facilities. They each have 2 upstairs bedrooms, one with a super king size bed (180cm x 200cm) and the other with 2 singles (90cm x 200cm).
Downstairs is open plan, with a fully equipped kitchen/dining area at one end and a lounge area with a stone fireplace and wood burner at the other. There is also a good sized bathroom on the ground floor.
The cottages are fully insulated, double glazed and there is full electric heating throughout. There are also smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher.
Electricity, water, gas and fast wi-fi are included in the price, together with pillows, duvets, pillow and mattress protectors, pillow cases, sheets, duvet covers, bathroom towels, bath mat, tea towels and oven gloves. Originally from a very busy part of the UK, I moved to France with my family to renovate an old presbytery and start a new adventure. We converted two buildings in our garden and gave them both a new lease of life. Now they are quiet, comfortable, warm and welcoming and somewhere for our guests to escape to when they need to recharge their batteries. Since 2005, we have welcomed many people from all over the world and we are looking forward to meeting many more in the years to come.

|Why this location?||If you are wanting to get away from it all, then look no further! Our two cottages are nestled in the one acre walled garden of an impressive 150 year old presbytery, right in the middle of a quiet Breton village in the heart of the countryside. Just a 15 minute drive to the lovely beaches and charming towns of the Goelo Coast, 30 minutes to the magical Ile de Brehat and 35 minutes to the amazing rock formations of the Pink Granite Coast, it is such a lovely place to visit. There are so many things to do and places to see and we are ideally positioned for our guests to explore and enjoy all the wonderful delights of this beautiful region. Then after a busy day out and about, it is always nice to return home and perhaps sit in the garden and listen to the birdsong or relax by a lovely log fire. Sounds like heaven to me!|
|Unique benefits of property||Le Pretre and its adjoining cottage, Le Cure, are in the lovely walled garden of a 150 year old presbytery. Inside, each cottage is fully equipped and has its own wood burner, washing machine and dishwasher. Outside each cottage has its own seating area and barbecue and there are plenty of chairs and sun loungers for our guests to enjoy the garden. The two cottages share the gardens in front of and to the side of the main house and the trampoline, football goal and other outdoor games always prove to be very popular with younger guests. There is also an undercover area, where guests are welcome to hang their washing, store their bikes or just sit and enjoy their surroundings.|
The Cotes d'Armor is generally renowned for its scenery and is popular with visitors for walking, cycling, fishing, playing golf, horse riding, swimming and watersports.
Treverec is just 15 minutes from the Goelo Coast, with its family beaches and harbour towns, such as Paimpol, Binic and St Quay Portrieux. A little further afield, is the Pink Granite Coast, which is famous for its beautiful islands and interesting rock formations. Both coastlines offer wonderful sandy beaches, numerous rock pools to explore and safe bathing.
Most towns in the area hold a weekly market, two of the best being Paimpol on Tuesdays and Lannion on Thursdays and there are also several beautiful gardens in the area, which are well worth a visit.
For those interested in architecture, there are many historic places to visit nearby, such as Treguier Cathedral, the Abbaye de Beauport and the Chateau de la Roche Jagu. For a relaxing day out, why not take the ferry from Paimpol over to the beautiful, car free, Ile de Brehat with its beautiful flowers and micro-climate? You can either take the short 10 minute ferry crossing directly to the island or, for just a few extra euros, you can take a longer boat trip, enjoying many beautiful views of the island from the sea.
For younger family members, there is the Zooparc at Tregomeur, Armoripark Amusement Park at Begard, the Centre of Sound at Cavan, a steam train ride between Paimpol and Pontrieux or perhaps a visit to the planetarium, Gaulois village or Cite de Telecom at Pleumeur Bodou. In addition, there are always crazy golf, merry go rounds, accrobranche (tree climbing using ropes) and lots of other exciting things to do!
We are also only 1.5 hours drive away from Le Mont St Michel, St Malo, Dinard, Dinan, Cap Frehel and Fort La Latte if you wish to explore a little further afield.
