A large stone fireplace with a logburner. A small supply of logs is provided.

The main winding staircase leads off from the kitchen as does the living room.

Living rooms

A cosy living space complete with leather sofas, a tv with Freesat to get English Channels, a music centre and a dvd player. Electric heater and a cast iron smokeless fuel burner. A small supply of coal is provided.

A Welsh dresser contains books, maps and games for your use.

Two first floor double bedrooms.

Bedroom one with a king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers.

Bedroom two with a double bed and bedroom furniture.

Both bedrooms have a window seat and look out across fields.

Visitor suitability

Suitable for families or adults holidaying together. Not suitable for anyone not able to manage stairs. Would suit anyone looking for a peaceful holiday but within easy travelling distance of the area's many attractions.

Please note that the garden is not fully secure and there is a covered well, so please make sure young children are supervised at all times.

Magical mossy boulders, the trembling rock and forest trails. A peaceful lake with canoeing and a picnic area, part of the National Forest in an area of outstanding beauty.

Le Petit Pause, St Lubin

An English run cafe/bar serving snacks, lunch and afternoon tea.Carvery on a Sunday.

Forges des Salles

An uusual yet fascinting place to visit. The entire village originally developed around the charcoal industry. The place is half village, half museum.

Central Brittany Journal (CBJ)

A monthly magazine in English, available at local supermarkets. Has information about local events and their weekly car boot sales.

Musee de la Resistance en Argoat

Set by a lake, the museum honours the patriots who went underground to liberate themselves from German occupation.

About forty minutes away, a pretty seaside town with two beach areas, a harbour and various shops and restaurants. An open air market every Thursday.

Base Nautique and picnic area, Kerne Uhel

Nice spot for a picnic and you can hire canoes. A short walk to the 'barrage' where the river is dammed to form the reservoir.
Only about ten minutes from our house.
