About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Joe Davis

Myself and my wife have always loved the mountains. A few years ago we decided to move over here full time. We run Chez Bear as an all inclusive, luxury chalet in the winter and like to take it easy in the summer.

Year property purchased 2017
Why this location? We love Serre Che. It offers brilliant skiing in the winter and an abundance of activities in the summer. The climate is amazing - a great snow record in the winter and warm, sunny days in the summer. It also has all the amenities you could need so we never have to travel far, unless we want to!
Unique benefits of property Our chalet is unique, there is no other way to describe it. It is very traditional and has wood on show everywhere. The cinema room has a vaulted ceiling and is often described as the 'man cave'. I think the best way of describing it is that as soon as you enter the property, you feel like you are at home which all of our guests mention and love!

Try Some Sports

Whatever you like, you can do it here. White water rafting = we have one of/if not the best river in France for it, the Durance.
Road biking = we have some legendary Cols right on our door step e.g. Col D'Izoard & Col Du Galibier.
Downhill mountain biking = a huge area which is relatively unknown meaning you have the place to yourself!
Rock Climbing = a huge number of climbs are right on our doorstep ranging from easy to hard!
Hiking = there are lots of beautiful lakes and views accessible by hiking only.
