Cosy Romantic Barn with Original Features. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Situated in a quite village The Barn is situated in our courtyard and shares parking and the pool with one other small holiday cottage,Rose Cottage and both properties can be booked together for a larger group. We are just 1 hour away from Calais and Eurotunnel and just 2 1/2 hours from Le Harve for Brittany Ferries and the same distance from Paris Charles de Gaulle or Brussels airports for international travellers.

Formerly a stable this small Barn has been beautifully restored to a very high standard and retains original features, beams throughout and a bespoke staircase. It offers comfortable living accommodation for a couple. Tastefully decorated, it has a living room with beams and a chimney with imitation woodburner stove, original manger and racking, fully fitted oak kitchen with full size oven, microwave, fridge with freezer box and a washing machine. A table and chairs for inside dining is in the kitchen and there is also an outside private patio for alfresco dining. Hand built stairs to mezzanine area with separate double bedroom with lovely beams and beamed shower room with wc and basin.

Cosy sitting area with original manger and beams. Relax on the leather sofa and armchair in front of the tv with a glass of wine, for chillier evenings there is an imitation electric woodburner and cosy throws to snuggle under.


With original beams and sloping ceilings the bedroom has a high quality mattress, antique handmade bed throw and all bedlinen and towels are provided and there are blackout blinds creating a very romantic, cosy ambiance.


With a shower cubicle, glass basin and freestanding wc, the shower room is bright and airy


Electric heating throughout is included from May to end of September, outside these dates a small charge is asked of €15 per week.


Tv with English and French channels, dvd and free wi-fi internet

Garden and outside

In our large courtyard which is shared with us and one other small holiday cottage, you have off road parking and a private terrace to enjoy. The shared splash pool and terrace are purely for our guests’ use.

Pool is available from June until the end of September and is unheated.

Our house and the cottages are situated in a very lane with little passing traffic. There is no ambient light so star gazing is fabulous here.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Sarah Bing

Lived in France for 16 years and we have 3 rental cottages with a 4th being developed for 2019. Children all grown up so now have time for enjoying the lovely countryside, cooking and looking after our guests. I work for UK holiday company as a Consultant, love crafts and walking our dogs on the local beaches.

Why this location? Fell in love with the area in my teens and had a French penfriend, we ended up buying her grandmother’s farm and undertook a renovation project on the farmhouse and created two 3* Gîtes
