I have a love of France dating back to the 1970s. At that time I was working in Paris and travelling throughout the country. Later in 1990 I returned to France with my wife and we found and bought this holiday apartment set within a charming 19th century Hotel/Auberge. We fell for its historic charm, its views onto the river Marne and the many delights of the champagne area - its been a true home from home.

|Why this location?||Beautiful area in the valley of the river Marne, lovely views of the river and vineyards. Many restaurants, champagne house and places to visit in the local area plus easy access through excellent connections to Paris, Disneyland Paris, Reims, Epernay and Soissons to name a few. Attractive local village, friendly and has a good range of shops.|
|Unique benefits of property||The vine covered terrace right by the river Marne, fishing from the Pontoon, a lovely building from the 19th century which has been totally refurbished and well-equipped to provide a first class and spacious 'home from home. A concierge is on site to ensure your stay goes smoothly and help with questions your may have on places to visit. The vallee location provides a local and protected micro-climate. Local roads are generally very quiet making this a wonderful area for champagne tours by car, or on a bike.|
Personally I love the centre of Reims around the cathedral area which is full of fine architecture, brasseries for a steak frites, and numerous Art Deco bars and cafes. An interesting a vibrant city which is very easy to access by car - about a 40min drive from Jaulgonne.
