About this property

Lord of the Manor by the Week!!!. This chateau is in a rural setting.

The chateau is situated where Burgundy, Auvergne and Beaujolais come together and is set in its own gated grounds with heated swimming pool high above the valley with views over the foothills of the Beaujolais mountains and the Auvergne.
White Burgundy Charolais cows graze in the valley below.

On entering the chateau you will find a 9m high hall of honour surrounded by a minstrels gallery with fireplace and ceremonial oak stairs.

In the walnut panelled dining room the truce of the grapes (Treve Raisin) was signed under the carved gaze of Baccus the god of wine above the fireplace.
This treaty brought to an end the dispute between the warring growers of Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Loire valley.

The salon is modelled on a music room in the Chateau of Fontainebleu, a former Kings residence near to Paris.
You can socialise and cook at the same time as the kitchen is surrounded by a bar with visual access to all of the above rooms.
All for your exclusive and private use during your stay.
The interior of the chateau is non smoking and pets are not allowed.

Nearby is the 14th century hill village of Perreux and the regional town of Roanne in which is situated the famous Michelin 3 star restaurant Troisgros.
The world heritage city of Lyon is 1 hour away.
