Historic sites, spas etc nearby. Lifts can be used by mountain-bikers or hikers in the summer. Chatel is close to a GR route for summer walking.

There are 2 bedrooms, both recently redesigned, pretty wood panelling in alpine style, and both with en suite shower rooms. Bed 1 has a double bed, bed 2 has bunks suitable for 2 adults or 3 children (pull out 'bed drawer'). A cot is also available.

Electric heating so fully adjustable throughout the apartment.


Everything is available within walking distance in the village. Shops, tea rooms, bars, restaurants, cinemas, night club, and various activities organised by the village including music.

The apartment is a separate residence within our private chalet so not in a block of flats. It has a large terrace facing the Mont Grange nature reserve. A big outdoor hot tub will enhance your winter or summer stay. There is private parking; all facilities rarely found at apartment rental rates.

In the next village, La Chapelle, the most wonderful gastronomic menus from 23 Euros for 4 sumptuous courses plus a little aperitif, always perfection of service, presentation and quality. A treat we always enjoy, get there by taxi or drive 10 mins.

Location and Activities

Situated in a tranquil spot just above the village of Chatel, close to lifts with direct access to the pistes of the vast Portes-Du-Soleil ski circuit. The local free tourist bus stops close by and shops etc are a short stroll away. The apartment has wonderful facilities with it's vast terrace and adjacent big hot-tub. The incredible views and perfect position are unique.

We had a very enjoyable week at the property, which was very well maintained and very clean. The owners are very welcoming and although were staying in the same property (obviously separate accommodation), provided just the right balance between availability for questions and leaving you to have a nice private holiday. We will definitely be returning, as we loved the property and the surrounding countryside.
