We fell in love with Morillon when we first owned a chalet here in 1999. We have now moved even closer to the village centre and lifts. Chalet Milou offers the perfect combination of space, tradition, modern comforts, a peaceful location, and close proximity to all amenities and lifts.
The Morillon area is especially beautiful in Spring and Summer; the mountains, lakes and endless nature and activities makes for a truly memorable holiday.
We look forward towelcoming you soon!

|Why this location?||Morillon is a traditional French Savoyard alpine village rather than a modern ski resort – it is both pretty and family friendly. Chalet Milou is very close to 3 different ski lifts all offering rapid access to the vast Grand Massif ski area. The centre of Morillon village is 400 hundred metres walk from Chalet Milou, and the unrivalled facilities of Samoëns ( the only ski resort in France to be classed as a “Monument Historique” village) are within 1km.In summer there are hundreds of fantastic leisure activities on our doorstep. Within just 1 km of the chalet are: the Morillon swimming lake with its beach, play park, tree tops adventure ropes course and cafe; tennis courts, canoeing, rafting, paragliding, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, running, horse riding – and an excellent outdoor pool at Samoëns.|

Samoëns is a delightful authentic savoyard alpine village with "monument historique" status. It has a charming village square surrounded by lively cafés, restaurants, bars and small shops. A lovely place to unwind after a day on the slopes or hiking on the mountains.
We stayed at Chalet Milou for a week at the end of July; we were a party of 6 adults, a 3 year old and a one year old. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. The owners were really helpful and responded quickly to all our questions beforehand, The chalet itself is great, comfortable, clean and plenty of space for us all and a peaceful setting- we loved sitting on the balcony to eat in the evenings and listening to the cowbells as the herds made their way home. We even saw an owl swoop past one evening!
There was plenty to do in the local area within reasonable driving distance (with two small children we didn't want to go far!). We ended each day with a swim and ice cream at Lac Bleu. We hired bikes and did some gentle cycling and a couple of beautiful short hikes too - we were only limited by the small children. There are plenty of more challenging hikes/rides for the more capable and we were planning which to do when we come back again as the kids get bigger!
It's a lovely area and the chalet is both well equipped and well appointed.
