“Chez Anne and Simon” is a very spacious traditional holiday home set in a 1.4 acre garden with heated pool. It is located in the town of Missillac, South Brittany.
It is ideal for family and friends looking to share a holiday or even a group of golf amateurs looking to make the most of nearby renowned Golf de La Bretesche 18 hole course at an affordable cost. The house can accommodate up to 12 people.
We fell in love with the house the minute we walked through the front door: architect-designed wide spaces, oak beams, terracotta tiles, and large fireplace. Throughout the renovation project, we have aimed to offer home from home comfort and maximise the space available to make our holiday home the perfect holiday destination for the entire family. It’s up to you whether you decide to venture out and about as there is lots to see and do in the area or simply relax and enjoy your surroundings.
The town of Missillac has a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Its best landmark by far is Chateau de La Bretesche with its Spa, Golf Course, Michelin-starred restaurant “Le Montaigu” and Brasserie “Le Club”.
We hope that at the end of their stay, our guests will go home thinking the place had a bit of “je ne sais quoi”.

We have a pool table, PS3 & Xbox one, dvds and a good selection of toys, games and books!
Our secured garden is made of 3 areas:
• The large front garden is staggered with pine trees which makes the house very private.
The drive is big enough to accommodate a few cars.
• Directly behind the property, the patio and pool area are South-facing and the lawned area is probably the size of half a football or rugby pitch, so plenty of space to run around.
The little ones will also enjoy the climbing frame.
• Last but not least, the wooded area situated at the back is the perfect adventure playground for your little explorers. Will they find any creatures living in the wooden playhouse? We also have our own 35m zip line which provides hours of fun!
The grown-ups can also enjoy a bit of peace & quiet in the hammock.
Ample parking space.
We have a couple of grown-up bikes and smaller bikes to save you bringing your own, they are great to go to the bakery to get those fresh croissants & pains au chocolat in the morning!
The house is suitable for people with limited mobility as it has a downstairs bedroom, shower room and toilet.
It is perfect for family and friends looking to share a holiday.
We are a Franco-Welsh couple with 2 young children. We love spending time with friends & family in France.

The lovely walled town of Vannes is a must on any visit to Morbihan. Take a walk around the narrow, cobbled streets, through the medieval gates, before settling down for lunch at a café alongside the attractive marina. The town of Guérande follows closely and attracts lots of visitors during its medieval festival beginning of June.
If you are interested in WW2 history, plan a visit to Le Grand Blockhaus in Batz-sur-Mer or le Musee de Saint Marcel in Malestroit.
Fan of fairy-tales and legends, visit Legendia Parc in Frossay, an hour away by car.
If you fancy a bit of family fun, arrange a visit to Parc d'Attractions Les Naudieres, 40 minutes away from the house.
Morbihan is rich in megalithic sites, nowhere more so than Locmariaquer. On the outskirts of this unremarkable village are three very impressive constructions, one of which, Le Grand Menhir, is the largest stone ever erected in prehistoric Europe. The town of Carnac is also known throughout the world for its unique rows of ancient standing stones: 3 fields contain around 3,000 aligned megaliths, which date from 4000BC.
This was a family holiday (6 adults and 4 children aged 6-11). We all enjoyed our stay and the children had a great time. They spent their time in the large garden on the zip-wire, the hammocks, the climbing frame and the pool and also enjoyed a game of cricket most days! Indoors they had a games room where they also spent a lot of time. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds and seating around it.
The local facilities are good and we had some delicious cakes from one of the boulangerie's.
We also enjoyed 'goodies' left for us in the kitchen - much appreciated.
We visited Poete ferrailleur in Lizio, Les Machines de L'ile in Nantes and Gacilly which was enjoyed by all and the mechanical elephant was a big hit with the children.
I think this property was value for money and I would definitely recommend it.
Ten of us, including our 4 grandchildren all under 7, have just returned from an amazing holiday staying at Chez Anne & Simon. The accommodation, facilities and amenities it provides are outstanding. With an excellent week of weather, we all took full advantage of the pool, and our grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the other features in the garden, especially the slide, climbing frame, swings and, especially, the zip wire! The property is in an ideal location with lots of attractions to visit within a 30 mile drive. Something available for every interest whether it’s beaches, markets, walled towns or scenic walks. Highlight of our visit was to travel by train from Pontchateau to Nantes and take the whole family for a ride on the huge mechanical elephant! We used the Plymouth-Roscoff ferry crossing which gave us a comfortable 150 mile drive to the property, but I’m sure it’s easily accessible from other ports such as St. Malo and Cherbourg. The booking process was seamless and we have no hesitation in recommending others to use Chez Anne & Simon.
Thank you so much Stewart for this lovely review, we are delighted that you all had a great holiday while staying at Chez Anne & Simon!
