Each gite is tastefully decorated, with many original features retained.
Each gite has its own fully equipped kitchen and dining area, including full sized oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and plenty of cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots and pans. We also have a large marquee in the garden, with plenty of space for you to eat together with your friends and family.
Each gite has a living area with comfy seating, logburner, tv and dvd player.

Each gite has a cosy log burning stove & portable electric heaters.
A range of dvds, books and boardgames are located in a communal area.
Ping-pong, croquet, badminton, ball games, garden games - located in a communal area. Plenty of space to play football, cricket or whatever you fancy!
Well maintained gardens with plenty of sunny spots, including the sundeck in the pool area, and trees to provide shade if the sun becomes too much!
A large marquee (12m x 5m) also provides shade or shelter, and is the perfect place to get together for meals or drinks in the evening.
Our large private drive at the front of the property provides parking for up to 10 cars is available, free of charge.

Steps, gravel paths and some uneven surfaces may hinder those with limited mobility.
Gary and Jenny Dawson, the owners, live on-site and will be on hand to assist where needed, but will also respect the privacy of our guests at all times.

|Why this location?||Complete peace and tranquility! In a very rural location, most days the only sound we hear is the birdsong, perfect for a family get-together. We are in a hamlet of 9 properties, 3km from the village with essential amenities and 12km from either Chateaubriant, or Pouancé, both of which have all your shopping needs covered.|

PLACES TO VISIT:
Lac de Vioreau, the largest lake in the department offers watersports activities, boat hire, beach area and a fantastic creperie / restaurant. Very popular with anglers or just a lovely place to spend the day.
The lake at Pouance has pedalos and an inflatable assault course in the summer months
St Nazaire: a visit to the submarine pens is a must for lovers of WW2 history, but there is so much more to discover for all the family. Just along the coast from here you can find the lovely seaside town of St Marc sur Mer, which has a fantastic beach and cliff-top walks.
La Baule: A very chic resort with an 8km sandy beach and first class restaurants.
Rennes, Nantes & Angers: all three cities are around an hour from here and each has something for the serial shopper, the culture vulture, or the history lover. Nantes can be reached by tram-train from Châteaubriant.
Puy de Fou theme park is huge and a day out full of surprises. Historical re-enactments of events involving the Vikings, the Romans, the Musketeers and much more!

CHÂTEAUBRIANT: is a French market town with a rich history. It used to part of Brittany (the locals still consider themselves as Breton) and was the last stronghold of the ancient kingdom in it's battles with France. Wednesdays are best for a full day's visit, with the market in the morning, followed by a three course lunch at one of the many restaurants. In the afternoon there are English guided tours of the chateau. The resistance museum and the quarry of the fusiliers, where 27 resistance hostages were executed on 22/10/1941, are open from 2-5 pm all year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Aquachoisel water park, lakes & a swimming complex.
