This was our seventh stay here, but our first since the downstairs area had been altered.
The downstairs shower room was most welcome avoiding trips to the upstairs bathroom.
the reduction in size of the lounge area and kitchen was less of an impact than we had imagined.
Overall an enjoyable stay again with Nadia who as ever was attentive and most helpful.
The good weather helped.
We would certainly recommend a visit to Haye Claire.
We spent nearly four weeks at La Haye Claire with friends and family in June/July. La Haye Claire provided the perfect base for us in the countryside but not too far from places of interest and local amenities. The gite was very clean, comfortably furnished and well-equipped. We felt relaxed and at home from the start. The excellent welcome pack was very much appreciated. We were able to enjoy a glass of chilled wine whilst unpacking.
The garden was special too with plenty of shaded areas to sit and relax in the evenings with a glass of wine after enjoying a barbecue. A recurring complaint we’ve had with past gites was that there was never enough sun loungers and garden chairs for everyone. This certainly didn’t apply to La Haye Claire where there was a variety of loungers and chairs enough for all. As the weather was hot, our two grandsons made good use of the pool which was cleaned daily.
Our host, Nadia was brilliant. She was friendly but unobtrusive, helpful (nothing was ever too much trouble for her) and extremely hard-working. We will never forget her kindness when we received sad news from home. Nadia arranged a couple of wine tastings for us which we enjoyed and would recommend.
La Haye Claire ranks as one of two top gites we have holidayed in. The other is La Louetiere (Nadia’s other gite) where we went next.
What can I say, other than we had the most wonderful stay at La Haye Claire! The property is beautiful, clean and spacious and the pool was a huge hit with the kids and parents alike. The gite is in a rural setting which made it a very peaceful and relaxed break. The nearby town of Ingrandes had a great little river beach area and the nearby Chateaux were lovely to visit and explore.
Nadia was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. She was even kind enough to collect our online shop before we arrived which helped us out massively as the supermarket was closed when we arrived. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gite to anyone wanted a relaxing and tranquil break in a lovely setting. Thank you Nadia!!
Our second year at La Haye Claire and another lovely 2weeks. We traveled with our two older children and having WiFi and a private pool they were very happy. We had a good mix off weather, very little rain, but this gave us a chance to get out more than last year when the temperature dropped below the mid 20's, the area has some great places to see, very pretty villages along the loire and some nice walks. Visited the Bioparc zoo and would recommend for all ages, Nadia has a discount card you can use. This is definitely a place we will return to. Than you Nadia for a lovely holiday.
