This summer was our first time to La Touche but hopefully not our last. We booked this holiday for rest and relaxation and this is exactly what we got. We deliberately wanted a holiday that wasn’t a resort and the peace and tranquility that came with booking La Touche was perfect.
Our children loved spending time in the pool and the pool accessories that were on hand helped to keep them entertained, they would have spent all day every day in there if we’d let them.
On a few mornings we decided to go to some of the markets and chateaux’s in the local towns which were approximately a 30 minute drive from La Touche. Peter was more than happy to provide recommendations on which to go to, but which ever you attend, you will not be disappointed, they all offer something different to the others.
The opportunity to have freshly baked breads and pastries delivered to your door in the morning was a lovely touch offered by Peter and Penny and is something that you can have every day or just as and when you want, placing your order the evening before.
We completed our main food shop at the local super market appr I market a 10 minute drive away, which stocked the majority of items you would find at home, very helpful for us indeed.
If you are considering a holiday at La Touche and have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Peter and Penny, as we did, they couldn’t be more helpful.
Thanks for your lovely review.
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at La Touche and delighted you think you might be back. You'd be very welcome.

Another idyllic stay and one which is eagerly anticipated from year to year. The property is situated in remote countryside with outstanding rural views in all directions.Amazingly peaceful but not isolated or dead.
The traditional pigeon house, meticulously extended, has a very smart contemporary interior with bathrooms I would love to have as my own.The interior is simple but most elegant with clever use of the local limestone.
All the facilities for cooking, etc one could want are present with lovely beds and bedding. All spotlessly clean and freshly decorated.
The adjoining pool is one of the greatest treats of the holiday, sparkling blue and set in the beautiful landscaped gardens which are such a defining part of the characterHome from home is such a cliche but in this instance, and particularly under the caring eye of the owners,so true.
The local market town has all the facilities one could want and for visiting chateaus, gardens etc the site is perfect and centrally located.
I cannot recommend this jewel of a French holiday property too highly and I very much hope to return.
Thanks for your very positive review.
We love having you stay and are delighted that you have booked again for 2019.
