A spacious gite with every facility. An exceptional host always making us very welcome.
Unfortunately the spa in the garden broke down after a few days!
Extremely helpful when our car played up! Having a French speaker (nearly) on sight was a great comfort in times of stress!
Lovely property in very quiet location but close enough to local amenities.with excellent restaurants. The photos do not do justice to the size of the garden. The hot tub was a welcome added bonus especially for our 6 year old grandson. Overall one of the best gites we have found in over thirty years holidaying in France . Would defiantly highly recommended this property.Thank you Nadine for a great holiday.
We loved it as it's so quiet and peaceful, and having everything on the ground floor is great if your a little older like us ,though there are additional rooms upstairs, we liked watching the wild life in the mornings though we have only seen partridges and rabbits in the garden. Once up and about we like to get out on the road sight seeing ,and there is just so much to see and do, we have been coming here to the Loire for years now and we are still finding new places to visit, but at this Gite we made sure that the hot tub was switched on and the temperature was set before we set off to visit wherever we were going that day as when we got back and the car was unloaded it was very nice to just relax in the hot tub, this really is the most fantastic place place to stay.
The property is very much as described, the house is in a very small very rural hamlet with one other property adjoining but completely separate, the garden is not overlooked at all.
The owner, was very friendly, helpful and welcoming and lives nearby.
The nearest town (we found) with shops is Ingrandes, about fifteen minutes away, which has a basic supermarket, good boulangerie / patisserie and excellent restaurant (Poisson d'Argent) just across the Loire.
We used the location as a base for exploring that end of the Loire and visited the chateaus at Serrant, Breze and Saumur - all worth a visit and the troglodyte sites around Doue la Fontaine - some of them took some finding but thats part of the fun!
We would definitely recommend Les Louetieres to friends and if we were returning to the area would come again.
