The newly renovated Le Presbytere gite offers the perfect opportunity to explore and enjoy the Loire region with its chateaux and vineyards. Within 40 minutes of Le Mans, Tours, Saumur, Chinon and Angers, it is also secluded enough to provide an adult only haven of peace and serenity in the French countryside.
This two bedroom gite has two double beds accommodating for four adults. It features a spacious lounge (complete with original manger) modern bathroom, fully fitted kitchen/diner and downstairs toilet. There is a breakfast room leading out to the patio/bbq area and to the covered heated swimming pool. Access to the bedrooms is via a spiral staircase and so not recommended for anyone with mobility problems.
There is the opportunity to book a downstairs twin bedroom (part of a Gite 1), which has access to an additional shower room with toilet, plus a further toilet, this is accessed via the breakfast room and is an additional £300 per week. Please contact the owners to see if this is available for your chosen weeks.
There is ample parking at the front of the property and a further seating area under the lime tree in the courtyard, providing welcome shade in the summer.
On arrival a welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk, bread, cheese, eggs and wine) will be waiting for you to recover from your journey.
The newly built kitchen/diner is fully fitted with washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, gas cooker ... Basically all you would expect for a holiday gite. It has a breakfast bar as well as a dining table.
The large, spacious lounge is equipped with UK Freesat tv and a dvd player, some dvds are provided should you forget your own.
Should you prefer to read the gite is equipped with a variety of books.
Both rooms have a double bed and the front bedroom overlooks the open countryside of Le Bareil Valley.
A twin downstairs bedroom can be added, please contact the owners to check availability.

Should the downstairs bedroom be available, this comes with its own shower room and toilet, plus an additional separate toilet.
UK Freesat tv and a dvd player are available in the lounge, along with a selection of reading books and a chess set
A private lawn and patio area give access to the heated, covered swimming pool. A gas bbq is provided along with patio table and chairs and two sun loungers. All chairs also recline.
At the front there is a gravelled seating area, with three sets of concrete tables and benches plus a wooden seat around the Lime tree, so seating is in the sun or shade whichever you prefer
Parking is in the front courtyard.
Due to the spiral staircase the gite is not recommended if you have mobility difficulties. We also do not accept bookings for pets, children, teenagers, stag or hen parties.
GND Ltd is run by a retired professional couple who just love the peace and tranquility of rural France. We escape here as often as possible.

|Why this location?||Chalonnes is only a short drive from Caen, Le Havre and Dieppe should you come by ferry, and less than 5 hours from The Channel Tunnel at Calais.
Living in Lincolnshire we can drive here in less than 10 hours (including the wait at the tunnel) and be transported into the peace and quiet of the French countryside.

Chinon and Saumur are only 45 mins drive away with wonderful local vineyards. Le Presbytere is also in the Anjou region.
